I can't get enough of RD's reactions to Zephyr. The faces she makes are priceless! And Fluttershy actually stayed tough throughout the episode while still being nice. It seems like Dave Rapp is good at making the show have a more mature feel, while still keeping everypony in character.

She and Zephyr have swapped colors, yellow coat, pink mane, blue-ish eyes vs. blue-ish coat, yellow mane, pink eyes. Same goes for the Apple siblings. They have swapped colors of themselves
On Rainbow Dash: they live in Cloudsdale. It's really not inconceivable that they would spend time together. Dash and Fluttershy went to flight school together, so she would have known the family even from dropping them off etc. It also explains why the others would have heard of them but not seen them often and they wouldn't have spoken about them much, because they're in a different town.
Yeah, that does make sense. I guess the whole thing just seems a little odd, because they wrote it so that it's as if all the Mane 6 have known Fluttershy's family for a long time, and have just never mentioned them before, whereas we're meeting them for the first time. I guess I had always imagined this episode beginning in such a way where none of the Mane 6 had ever met Fluttershy's family before either, for whatever reason, and then something happened where all of a sudden there was a need to meet and interact with them, kind of like how Twilight's brother, Shining Armor, was introduced. I guess since it's so far into the show now, it would have been a lot harder to explain why Fluttershy's friends have never interacted with her family in any way before, so instead they made it so that it's like they've known them for a long time.

They could have paid a visit but it's way more likely Fluttershy visited them. She was always the bold one. They may not have dared to leave Cloudsdale.

Something I immediately pictured about this episode upon watching it: Fluttershy: You know, my brother _may_ be an idiot... Rainbow Dash: ...but...? Fluttershy: No that's it.
This is one of my favorite Fluttershy episodes 'cause it really shows how much she has grown as a character. When I first saw this episode I wanted to punch Zephyr Breeze right away, he is such a jack-ass and it's so satisfying to see Fluttershy give him some tough love throughout the episode. To think that Fluttershy is the tough one in her family is just brilliant.
His cutie mark is a feather flowing in the wind, playing off the 'Breeze' part of his name. Zyphr is a *really* laid back guy, and he has the ability to go with the flow better than most people. Letting the wind carry you and while letting life happen around you is literally what he does best. His cutie mark is a visual personification of how utterly chill he is. But that's not how the world works, being laid back can be good to an extent. But he took it to a whole other extreme.....times a thousand
Nice point, regarding fears, Fluttershy is more likely to internalize those fears whereas Zepher Breeze tries to run away from them and hiding them under his extrovert narcisistic personality because of his insecurities
Well, to be fair, her parents haven't had the benefit of all the lessons Fluttershy has learned regarding assertiveness. As for her brother, well...black sheep of the family. XD
Just found this channel a few days ago, and I've gotta say, you are absolutely amazing! I love the little comments you put in the video and your laugh/smiles are really contagious. You don't make obnoxious jokes all the time and actually focus on the episode and its messages, it's really fun to see your passion towards this. Well, thank you so much for the kind words! Yes, it has been pointed out I'm easily entertained, but I don't think that's really a bad thing. Life is both too short and too long not to laugh. Obnoxious jokes? Nope, won't get that from me, at least I hope not. I generally lack the quick wit necessary to crack jokes about things on the spot, and even if I do think of something, if it doesn't seem appropriate, I won't actually voice it. And yeah, I started doing the notes thing more recently, figured it was a good way to add in things I failed to say while watching, or thought of later, especially for the benefit of those who don't want to listen to a long, rambling commentary at the end. As for the messages, yes, I do my best to focus on the positive messages and lessons in these episodes, because I feel like that's what it's really all about. This fandom began because people found the characters and lessons to be very relatable, and so those are the things I try to focus on. I see too many people getting mad at and attacking the show runners for things like pandering or cringe or writing their favorite character in a way they didn't like, and I feel like they've forgotten about what made this show so great in the first place. This is more than just entertainment. This is something that makes you really think hard about things in our lives. The last episode was really tough for me, because I felt like Applejack was very poorly written, but I'm determined to not hold a grudge, and to keep trying to look for the good in each episode.
I almost had the same reaction as you do throughout the entire episode! we get a lot of character development from fluttershy, she's really bold! I'd say this is one of her best episodes yet! I could relate with her as a big sister since my own younger brother had a similar attitude regarding trying new things and failing, though zephyr has a narcisstic and somewhat over-the-top personality that my brother doesn't. Your reaction towards fluttershy's facial expressions and tone was gold:D I loved it!
Absolutely, by far her best moment in the whole series! This was a whole new side of Fluttershy, lots of attitude coming through that we've never seen before, so many fun faces and lines to react to. I bet Andrea Libman had a lot of fun recording this one. :D

Regarding your theories on what could possibly come next for the Mane Six, I wonder if they're going to start exploring Equestria more often now. I mean, they certainly have a *TON* of excuses to leave Ponyville now: -Rarity has two other boutiques in either Canterlot or Manehatten, so she can go and visit those places (and possibly open up more boutiques in The Crystal Empire and maybe the currently unexplored Maretonia); -Twilight has family in both Canterlot (her parents) and The Crystal Empire (her brother, sister-in-law and niece), plus she can always go and visit Moondancer and the old gang as well; -Starlight has Trixie to go on a Magic Tour with, and she has Sunburst to go to The Crystal Empire to visit; -Rainbow Dash, as a Wonderbolt, would also go on Tours and go off to new places we haven't seen yet, or hardly seen so far; plus she has Gilda to visit in Gryffonstone (I'd like to see that place get spruced up); -Pinkie Pie has P.S.S.D. with her sisters where they go off to explore new places and exchange gifts - in fact, I already was hoping there'd be an episode where Pinkie has a trip with Limestone, and Rainbow Dash somehow gets roped into the trip like how Rarity did with Maud - and now I'm thinking that Rainbow can be on tour with the Wonderbolts during this adventure, explaining how she ends up in the same place as the Pie sisters; ANNNNNND I am now imagining Pinkie having a P.S.S.D. with Marble Pie and crossing paths with not only Fluttershy (admit it, Flutters and Marble together interacting would be soooo cuuuuute!), but also with Zephyr - so we have the soft-spoken/shy duo teamed up with two party animals - *and* we'd get a chance for some extra character development for Zephyr, and hopefully paint him in a better light (maybe he has a side-plot where he mentions wanting to get his parents a gift as a thank you for putting up with him). So yeah, with these things in mind, I recall reading that Lauren Faust originally wanted the Mane Six to go on adventures around Equestria, and having them all having friends, family, and businesses all over Equestria is the perfect excuse to have them go ahead and do that more often.
Well, the theme of this season was supposed to be traveling Equestria, but there's been very little actual travel thus far, at least compared to what I expected. So far just a couple trips to Manehattan and the visit to the Crystal Empire back in the premiere. I guess the dragon lands counts too, though that's technically beyond Equestria's borders. Still quite a few episodes left in the season though, could see some cool stuff yet.
Another thing which I don't like in her character. I mean I love her so much but I don't like the fact that she is so stereotypical in some points. For example she likes male things and in the end she is a lesbian? Come on! Lesbians never like girly things? This is what they try to told me again? Then I have to disappoint Hasbro because there are lesbians who likes girly things. Like for example my friend, she don't even like at least one male thing. So no. Not all lesbians are tomboys. I wish they could make Rarity a lesbian. That would be much better.

I liked this new side of Fluttershy, it shows not only that she was progressed through what I think has been years since the beginning of the series, but also that every pony has their one different side when it comes to family that's different from friends. I also liked the addition of what I hope is not a single apparition of a new pony to the series, it's always good to have another stallion who is not a background character but that also have an unique personality and appearance. This episode also served well with its moral, of being a homeless adult still living with your family and no having a job even though you can do something you like and are good at it but you're too afraid of failure to really try, I'm sure that more than quite a few people out there knew exactly what Zephyr was going through. I myself saw a little "link" (see what I did there?;) that I shared with him due to my own personal circunstancies. And yes, I almost could hear all the shippers going loco with this episode, I'm sure that this fandom won't disappoint to impress me with material Rainbow/Zephyr XD Really liked your reactions and afterthoughts of this episode, keep them up! =D

If Flutters ever addressed _me_ in that tone, I would be scared s#^%less. 5. 17:11 "Ukelele? Okay." Don't Amy Keating Rogers and Daniel Ingram play that instrument? I know Amy does at least. 6. 18:26 Zephyr (to RD): "I can already *feel* the electricity between us." There certainly _was_ a lot of electricity flowing between those two that day. And Zephyr was on the receiving end of all of it. 7. 22:27 This part manages to give me chills even in the middle of Summer with the A/C off. If I made a top ten list of faces for each pony, at least eight of the ones on Fluttershy's list would come from this episode.

I've just never seen her exhibit behavior like that throughout an entire episode before, lots of fun seeing her finally having the confidence to show her true emotions, which she's always been so careful to hide in the past for fear of confrontation. 4. Yep, pretty much! Righteous anger from Fluttershy, absolutely priceless! 5. Amy Keating Rogers does, yes, and yes, that thought crossed my mind. ^_^ 6. EEYUP! :D 7. Oh yes, the chills were real for me too! I absolutely LOVED the harmony between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash in Find a Pet (May the Best Pet Win), but most of the song was back and forth between the two, and the harmony part at the very end was awesome, but far too short. Now we finally got those two singing together again, and it was fantastic! 8. I'm expecting somebody to put together a collage of every one of Fluttershy's awesome faces from this episode. :D

For this children's TV show, probably. But in reality, no, it's not strong language. It just another way of saying annoy or irritate. An alternate strong language "p" word like 'pissed' is NOT something you say in a children's TV show.
We get to see more of Fluffershy personal life, after s1 ep23 - Cutie Mark Chronicles, I was wondering why no ever came looking for Fluffershy, did she not have parents or sometime so she moved into the cottage then and their, but her parents must of brought her back afterwards, alow Rainbow Dash would have definiety told her how she got her cutie Mark as they clearly seen each other since before the others.
Fluttershy was so cool in this episode! Btw, do you imagine if Discord came to help Fluttershy with her brother? He would've take the whole scene by bombing Zephyr with chaos just like RD zapped him to crisp!
I always loved this episode because of Fluttershy's relationship with her family, the fact that she is the one who gives points to her brother and acts bossy (as he says) makes a lot of sense, and I don't mean that she has grown as a character, no, I'm talking about how often people don't act with their friends in the same way that they act with their family, obviously Fluttershy has known Zephyr Breeze since he was a baby and being her family the bond is closer, therefore, she shows herself as she is, that firm, and therefore her brother calls her "bossy", since he knows facets of Fluttershy that the rest of the mane six don't, even the fact that she decides to talk like that with her parents about Zephyr, I love this episode because it lets us see that more natural side of Fluttershy 💛

Ah, I see. I've thought that to be the case with Scootaloo, never thought that about Fluttershy, though it was believable because there was never any mention of her family. But yeah, that's been torpedo'd now. Now if we could just get some word on Scootaloo's family... Oh, and yes, Zephyr needs to back off. What a creep! Yes, Lauren Faust said that, though she hasn't had any involvement in the show for several years. Still, the show runners have said they want to stay true to her vision. I just wish they'd address it once and for all, which ever way they decide to go with it.
@@icysweetnexi well he is, and if I wanted a superpower, I would choose Chaos Magic, but you know. Other than Fluttershy, it's usually impossible for the mane 6 to tolerate people like him. However he usually has good intentions (pretty much doing bad things for good reasons) But regardless, you're right, which is why I like him many times more than other reformed antagonists. It's just that he is probably easier to tolerate than Zephyr.
I love the look rainbow dash gives Fluttershy when she threatened to zap him with a storm cloud and he says I can already feel the electricity between us it was like yeaaah he'll be dead by noon
Fluttershy was at her absolute best in this episode; she's my least favorite of the mane six, I don't hate her or anything but I can't really relate to her that much. Also the fact that the majority of her episodes have to do with her being so socially awkward and shy just bugs me, I mean it's fine when it's two or three episodes, but when basically all of her episodes focus on the same basic lesson for her to learn it's just irritating to me, but Fluttershy was at her absolute best in this episode; I was rooting for her all throughout the episode. (Even if I didn't like Fluttershy's brother, but that's the point with his character; you weren't suppose to like him). But yeah Fluttershy was great in this, great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.
Sure, we all have our favorites. I do agree that her character episodes have been a bit one-note, but to her credit, if you look back over all the lessons she's learned, you can see that she really has been taking baby steps towards overcoming her timidness, and all of those lessons finally got a chance to shine through her performance in this episode. It has certainly been a long time in coming!

By the way; the way you were acting with how Fluttershy was acting with her brother was funny, because really when someone is with their family they tend to act a little differently then with other people; even their friends. So I could actually see Fluttershy acting the way she did (although it still did shock me). XD.
Yeah, the thought did occur to me that she might act a lot different around her family than in public. However, don't forget that she was acting the same even when she and Dash were flying through town, where her "outburst" occurred. I really hope the writers keep this more mature Fluttershy around.

I think of Kuzco too because I know Zephyr Breeze is voiced by Ryan Beil, but he sounds like David Spade the same person who voices Kuzco from The Emperor's New Groove.
Not gonna ie in the scene where zephyr comes into fluttershy's home I wanted 2 things to happen I wanted discord to meet zephyr and maybe be the last resort if he didn't get his act together just saying I feel like itd be hilarious.
I'm kind of glad that she's not being focused on too heavily, because although I really like her, I wouldn't want the whole season to feel like it's constantly focusing on her. That said, I had thought we'd see a bit more of her than we have thus far, so yeah, I hope she's going to appear again before we hit the hiatus.
I just wouldn't mind to see her maybe in the background of a scene so we don't wonder what she's doing. Though I like it as it is. After the Hearth's warming episode I still want a derpy angel ha ha so I'm satisfied for a while. I still wish they would use derpy as a chance to speak out on disabilities since I have autism and derpy is what made me a fan but I don't see that being a thing.
This Zephr character is fantastic, not only does he neglect a job given to him by royalty in his nation, he manipulates one of her most loved ones to do it for him while he just relaxes. This guy just did not give a sh*t and I loved it

Honestly… I’ve had a fear of failing for as long as I can remember, and it’s been particularly bad this year for whatever reason. Maybe it’s just me, but… I think that getting through this sort of thing is *way* harder than most people seem to think. All the things I’m hearing: I’ve heard them dozens of times. I already know just about everything there is to say about “just trying” and “don’t let fear hold you back”… but you can’t break through your insecurities and your fear that easily. My body locks up and my mind shuts down. It’s not that I don’t WANT to try, and I certainly don’t want to stay like this either, but I just don’t know what to do. When I reach out for help I just hear more words of encouragement or worse: I get “you just don’t want it enough”. … … /sigh/

Yes! Maximum shipping power there! I have this idea in mind of Zephyr and Soarin competing over Rainbow's affection and then Rainbow's just in the background being all: Seriously dudes? I literally don't care to love either of you, or anyone really. But in the end she chooses Soarin. I do ship Zephyr X Tree Hugger though, like ALOT. So everypony's happy.
Fluttershy was great being assertive in this episode, but we need to keep in mind, this is with her family members. She trusts, loves, and is familiar with them. So it's a lot easier to be honest and forward with them. I'm sure it's a lot easier standing up to your little sibling than it is to a stranger.
My fan theory, that was Derpy's sister and thus Dinky's aunt. Also notice only Pinkie and AJ were shown to know Fluttershy's brother, we didn't see Twi nor Rarity until after they agreed to give them some work to do. And I hope to see Scootaloo's family, they just can't finish off every character point but untouch that one. Hope we get a S8 but that's just hoping..

Yeah, I did start seeing a number of similarities with the story of Tender Taps, though he didn't necessarily know what his special talent was. Yes, he liked dancing a lot, but because of his fear to perform in public, maybe he thought that that wasn't really what he was meant to do. I think Zephyr Breeze knew what he was supposed to be doing, and just needed some tough love to get him to start executing.

On Rainbow Dash: they live in Cloudsdale. It's really not inconceivable that they would spend time together. Dash and Fluttershy went to flight school together, so she would have known the family even from dropping them off etc. It also explains why the others would have heard of them but not seen them often and they wouldn't have spoken about them much, because they're in a different town.
Yeah, that does make sense. I guess the whole thing just seems a little odd, because they wrote it so that it's as if all the Mane 6 have known Fluttershy's family for a long time, and have just never mentioned them before, whereas we're meeting them for the first time. I guess I had always imagined this episode beginning in such a way where none of the Mane 6 had ever met Fluttershy's family before either, for whatever reason, and then something happened where all of a sudden there was a need to meet and interact with them, kind of like how Twilight's brother, Shining Armor, was introduced. I guess since it's so far into the show now, it would have been a lot harder to explain why Fluttershy's friends have never interacted with her family in any way before, so instead they made it so that it's like they've known them for a long time.

This is one of my favorite Fluttershy episodes 'cause it really shows how much she has grown as a character.
When I first saw this episode I wanted to punch Zephyr Breeze right away, he is such a jack-ass and it's so satisfying to see Fluttershy give him some tough love throughout the episode. To think that Fluttershy is the tough one in her family is just brilliant.

His cutie mark is a feather flowing in the wind, playing off the 'Breeze' part of his name. Zyphr is a *really* laid back guy, and he has the ability to go with the flow better than most people. Letting the wind carry you and while letting life happen around you is literally what he does best. His cutie mark is a visual personification of how utterly chill he is.
But that's not how the world works, being laid back can be good to an extent. But he took it to a whole other extreme.....times a thousand

Well, thank you so much for the kind words! Yes, it has been pointed out I'm easily entertained, but I don't think that's really a bad thing. Life is both too short and too long not to laugh. Obnoxious jokes? Nope, won't get that from me, at least I hope not. I generally lack the quick wit necessary to crack jokes about things on the spot, and even if I do think of something, if it doesn't seem appropriate, I won't actually voice it. And yeah, I started doing the notes thing more recently, figured it was a good way to add in things I failed to say while watching, or thought of later, especially for the benefit of those who don't want to listen to a long, rambling commentary at the end.
As for the messages, yes, I do my best to focus on the positive messages and lessons in these episodes, because I feel like that's what it's really all about. This fandom began because people found the characters and lessons to be very relatable, and so those are the things I try to focus on. I see too many people getting mad at and attacking the show runners for things like pandering or cringe or writing their favorite character in a way they didn't like, and I feel like they've forgotten about what made this show so great in the first place. This is more than just entertainment. This is something that makes you really think hard about things in our lives. The last episode was really tough for me, because I felt like Applejack was very poorly written, but I'm determined to not hold a grudge, and to keep trying to look for the good in each episode.
I almost had the same reaction as you do throughout the entire episode! we get a lot of character development from fluttershy, she's really bold! I'd say this is one of her best episodes yet! I could relate with her as a big sister since my own younger brother had a similar attitude regarding trying new things and failing, though zephyr has a narcisstic and somewhat over-the-top personality that my brother doesn't. Your reaction towards fluttershy's facial expressions and tone was gold:D I loved it!
Absolutely, by far her best moment in the whole series! This was a whole new side of Fluttershy, lots of attitude coming through that we've never seen before, so many fun faces and lines to react to. I bet Andrea Libman had a lot of fun recording this one. :D

Regarding your theories on what could possibly come next for the Mane Six, I wonder if they're going to start exploring Equestria more often now. I mean, they certainly have a *TON* of excuses to leave Ponyville now:
-Rarity has two other boutiques in either Canterlot or Manehatten, so she can go and visit those places (and possibly open up more boutiques in The Crystal Empire and maybe the currently unexplored Maretonia);
-Twilight has family in both Canterlot (her parents) and The Crystal Empire (her brother, sister-in-law and niece), plus she can always go and visit Moondancer and the old gang as well;
-Starlight has Trixie to go on a Magic Tour with, and she has Sunburst to go to The Crystal Empire to visit;
-Rainbow Dash, as a Wonderbolt, would also go on Tours and go off to new places we haven't seen yet, or hardly seen so far; plus she has Gilda to visit in Gryffonstone (I'd like to see that place get spruced up);
-Pinkie Pie has P.S.S.D. with her sisters where they go off to explore new places and exchange gifts - in fact, I already was hoping there'd be an episode where Pinkie has a trip with Limestone, and Rainbow Dash somehow gets roped into the trip like how Rarity did with Maud - and now I'm thinking that Rainbow can be on tour with the Wonderbolts during this adventure, explaining how she ends up in the same place as the Pie sisters; ANNNNNND I am now imagining Pinkie having a P.S.S.D. with Marble Pie and crossing paths with not only Fluttershy (admit it, Flutters and Marble together interacting would be soooo cuuuuute!), but also with Zephyr - so we have the soft-spoken/shy duo teamed up with two party animals - *and* we'd get a chance for some extra character development for Zephyr, and hopefully paint him in a better light (maybe he has a side-plot where he mentions wanting to get his parents a gift as a thank you for putting up with him).
So yeah, with these things in mind, I recall reading that Lauren Faust originally wanted the Mane Six to go on adventures around Equestria, and having them all having friends, family, and businesses all over Equestria is the perfect excuse to have them go ahead and do that more often.
Well, the theme of this season was supposed to be traveling Equestria, but there's been very little actual travel thus far, at least compared to what I expected. So far just a couple trips to Manehattan and the visit to the Crystal Empire back in the premiere. I guess the dragon lands counts too, though that's technically beyond Equestria's borders. Still quite a few episodes left in the season though, could see some cool stuff yet.

I liked this new side of Fluttershy, it shows not only that she was progressed through what I think has been years since the beginning of the series, but also that every pony has their one different side when it comes to family that's different from friends.
I also liked the addition of what I hope is not a single apparition of a new pony to the series, it's always good to have another stallion who is not a background character but that also have an unique personality and appearance.
This episode also served well with its moral, of being a homeless adult still living with your family and no having a job even though you can do something you like and are good at it but you're too afraid of failure to really try, I'm sure that more than quite a few people out there knew exactly what Zephyr was going through. I myself saw a little "link" (see what I did there?;) that I shared with him due to my own personal circunstancies.
And yes, I almost could hear all the shippers going loco with this episode, I'm sure that this fandom won't disappoint to impress me with material Rainbow/Zephyr XD

I always loved this episode because of Fluttershy's relationship with her family, the fact that she is the one who gives points to her brother and acts bossy (as he says) makes a lot of sense, and I don't mean that she has grown as a character, no, I'm talking about how often people don't act with their friends in the same way that they act with their family, obviously Fluttershy has known Zephyr Breeze since he was a baby and being her family the bond is closer, therefore, she shows herself as she is, that firm, and therefore her brother calls her "bossy", since he knows facets of Fluttershy that the rest of the mane six don't, even the fact that she decides to talk like that with her parents about Zephyr, I love this episode because it lets us see that more natural side of Fluttershy 💛

Fluttershy was at her absolute best in this episode; she's my least favorite of the mane six, I don't hate her or anything but I can't really relate to her that much. Also the fact that the majority of her episodes have to do with her being so socially awkward and shy just bugs me, I mean it's fine when it's two or three episodes, but when basically all of her episodes focus on the same basic lesson for her to learn it's just irritating to me, but Fluttershy was at her absolute best in this episode; I was rooting for her all throughout the episode. (Even if I didn't like Fluttershy's brother, but that's the point with his character; you weren't suppose to like him). But yeah Fluttershy was great in this, great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.
Sure, we all have our favorites. I do agree that her character episodes have been a bit one-note, but to her credit, if you look back over all the lessons she's learned, you can see that she really has been taking baby steps towards overcoming her timidness, and all of those lessons finally got a chance to shine through her performance in this episode. It has certainly been a long time in coming!

By the way; the way you were acting with how Fluttershy was acting with her brother was funny, because really when someone is with their family they tend to act a little differently then with other people; even their friends. Yeah, the thought did occur to me that she might act a lot different around her family than in public. I'm kind of glad that she's not being focused on too heavily, because although I really like her, I wouldn't want the whole season to feel like it's constantly focusing on her. That said, I had thought we'd see a bit more of her than we have thus far, so yeah, I hope she's going to appear again before we hit the hiatus.
I just wouldn't mind to see her maybe in the background of a scene so we don't wonder what she's doing. Though I like it as it is. After the Hearth's warming episode I still want a derpy angel ha ha so I'm satisfied for a while. I still wish they would use derpy as a chance to speak out on disabilities since I have autism and derpy is what made me a fan but I don't see that being a thing.

This Zephr character is fantastic, not only does he neglect a job given to him by royalty in his nation, he manipulates one of her most loved ones to do it for him while he just relaxes. This guy just did not give a sh*t and I loved it

Honestly… I’ve had a fear of failing for as long as I can remember, and it’s been particularly bad this year for whatever reason. Maybe it’s just me, but… I think that getting through this sort of thing is *way* harder than most people seem to think. All the things I’m hearing: I’ve heard them dozens of times. I already know just about everything there is to say about “just trying” and “don’t let fear hold you back”… but you can’t break through your insecurities and your fear that easily. My body locks up and my mind shuts down. It’s not that I don’t WANT to try, and I certainly don’t want to stay like this either, but I just don’t know what to do. When I reach out for help I just hear more words of encouragement or worse: I get “you just don’t want it enough”. … … /sigh/

Fluttershy was great being assertive in this episode, but we need to keep in mind, this is with her family members. She trusts, loves, and is familiar with them. So it's a lot easier to be honest and forward with them. I'm sure it's a lot easier standing up to your little sibling than it is to a stranger.
Here's one thing I noticed: Zephyr really wants to ride that blue ass lmao
My fan theory, that was Derpy's sister and thus Dinky's aunt. Also notice only Pinkie and AJ were shown to know Fluttershy's brother, we didn't see Twi nor Rarity until after they agreed to give them some work to do. And I hope to see Scootaloo's family, they just can't finish off every character point but untouch that one. Hope we get a S8 but that's just hoping..

I admit I've found it odd that other ponies (like in Manehattan) don't go nuts over the Mane 6 like the crystal ponies do for Spike, given how many times they've saved the world, so it's nice to see some ponies at least acknowledge it in some capacity.

Yeah, I did start seeing a number of similarities with the story of Tender Taps, though he didn't necessarily know what his special talent was. Yes, he liked dancing a lot, but because of his fear to perform in public, maybe he thought that that wasn't really what he was meant to do. I think Zephyr Breeze knew what he was supposed to be doing, and just needed some tough love to get him to start executing.
How did Flittershy's parents get together if Fluttershy is the bold one I couldn't imagine asking each other out on a date let alone procreating.
