The Ussewa live version is better (available on her channel). Also, the unravel live (also on her channel) is amazing. I recommend unravel live next. Actually, just do any live version, they're all better than the studio versions.
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere yet, but I recommend turning on the english subtitles in her music videos and maybe giving a listen to her new song Episode X
If you enjoyed ado I'd recommend "Aishte Aishte Aishte" (a cover of a Vocaloid song), "unravel" live (cover of a song done by a legendary artist called TK), "SHOW" (original ado song), "RuLe" (original) and "mirror" (original). All these songs are totally different from each other and give a very good read on what ado is as a singer
She is *significantly* better live, and I'm not saying that because I think the studio versions are bad. Usseewa is a good example, like I don't see any reason to listen to this version of the song now that there is the live medley ( 8dnjqzodjgo ) available.
Japan is where the cool music is going on right now. Ado is amazing and I suggest checking out more of her songs. I’ve heard nothing bad so far. But there also other amazing bands of many different genre. Band-Maid (my favorite is hard rock), Lovebites (power metal with another amazing singer), Polkadot Stingray (power pop rock), Glim Spanky (classic rock/Alt rock), Hitsujibungaku (shoegaze, pop rock).
You should check out Bitter Choko Decoration by Syudou. Syudou composed Useewa. Syudou is a Vocaloid producer. Vocaloid is a type of Japanese electronic music. What is unique about Vocaloid is that it has synthetic vocals. Ado is as close to Vocaloid as you can get without being Vocaloid. All her songs are either Vocaloid covers or composed by Vocaloid producers. Vocaloid is great for singers because they are the best songs to cover. That is how Ado became a star. There is a whole industry of Vocaloid covers not only in the original Japanese but in other languages. No human sounds like Vocaloid so every cover is automatically different. And the songs are great.
Tu no lo sabes aun, pero ADO sera una de tus cantantes Favoritas 😳, por cierto excelente analisis vocal y musical de la canción. Gran canal, espero sigas subiendo mas reacciones a Ado... Bienvenido a la madriguera!!!
"Show" is her most vocally acrobatic song imo. "Crime and Punishment" is her rawest song, with the least vocal edits I think? "Unravel Live version" is her singing live, but you still can't see her face because it's part of her persona to "show" the music by "hiding" herself.
Some background on Japanese culture and how this song intersects with it: Japan is much more collectivist than the western culture. What this means is that there's a lot of avoidance of conflict. For example, if you invite a Japanese person to an event, they might say they'll go, and just not show up, rather than outright saying no. Instead of "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" Japanese culture tends towards "The nail that sticks out will be hammered in". This song directly says "I don't give a rat's ass about what the culture expects out of me, I want to do my own thing and cultural expectations and pressures be damned." This rebellious attitude absolutely resonated with Japanese youth, which is why this song absolutely blew up when it was released. Now for the musical origin of Ado. There are two intertwined musical subcultures in Japan that are relevant to Ado. The first is what are known as vocaloid producers. Vocaloid is a particular line of vocal synthesis programs. Each program is modeled after a different person's voice, and they are created by taking many samples of that person's voice and using complicated algorithms to blend and synthesize the samples into whatever the creator wants. Each software is given a name and a visual character to represent it, the most famous one being Hatsune Miku. This Vocaloid software has created a subculture of music producers who work primarily alone and use these programs in lieu of finding an actual vocalist to sing their stuff. Since they've got software that can sing anything, whether it's inhumanly fast, or features jumps or high notes that are extraordinarily difficult for vocalists to accomplish, there are many songs with exactly those sort of features in the vocal lines. So how does this connect with Ado? Ado is what is known as an Utaite (the word itself just translates as "singer" essentially), which is a subculture of independent singers who primarily release covers of vocaloid music online. The fact that many vocaloid songs have particularly challenging vocal lines and interesting music production has attracted many singers who in turn cover those songs. The motivation may simply be because they enjoy the music, or because of the challenge of some of the songs (among other things). In either case, Ado comes from this subculture, and frequently covers vocaloid songs on her channel, although she also features original songs as well (which are often written by the very same songwriters who produce vocaloid music). An example of a vocaloid song she has covered is "Godish" that you've no doubt seen requested here. I'm somewhat simplifying things, and I'm sure there are people out there more qualified than I am who could explain this stuff better than me, but I figured that many people don't really take the time to break this stuff down.
@@TimWelchVocalStudio It is interesting that now from the subculture of Utaite, which sang inhuman songs live, a whole series of amazing singers with unusual abilities have emerged. If you are interested, I can give you links to them later
@@TimWelchVocalStudio yeah it’s a good summary of how Japanese music became experimental and high end. Plus anime is unique in that it funds and hires artists to make custom songs also. That’s how Ado became like a musical One Piece movie musical character and a bunch of songs in that etc. her songs are great and versatile pulling from different styles. But then you have other great artists like Eve -Fight Song bold use of guitar different than normal. Or like if you check out Creepy Nuts - Bling Bang Born they are top rap artists global and it’s on First Take a unique Japan platform that has artists sing live in one take.
“Ah-doh.” English lyrics in the CC. Ado is rebelling against the society she is expected to conform to upon reaching adulthood. “Usse wa,” is a very rough expression that means STFU! The language a yakuza might use. Parents across Japan were scandalized to hear their you children singing this hit Pop song.
As Ado`s big fan I must carry this faith to the masses. Most of her song, independently is it a cover or is it her own song sounds like banger. Lyrics also full of meaning (don`t forget about subs) To know who is she I recomend next video th-cam.com/video/8PcaVsj5ZVw/w-d-xo.html I recomend to listen next if not listened yet: 1. "Unravel" - cover on TK`s song. Imho, cover better than original. And also live performance of this cover from her better than studio version 3. "Shoka" - song written by Ado. This song made me scare twice, firstly when I listen an see AMV, secondly when I check lyrics... "Ado are you ok?" - that's all I could think about at that moment. I think it is saddest and anxious song from her 4. "Rule" - maybe the most aggressive song from her 5. Entire album with song for anime One Peace film Red 6. "Rebelion" - AMV looks like entire anime 7. "Crime & Punishment" - cover on Shina Ringo`s song, that concentrate attantion on her vocal (your ears must be ready) 8. "Show" - demonstrate abilities to mix the different cultures and different genres into one song, like entire album 9. "Odo" - she tries on the role of DJ 10. "God-ish" - while listening firstly I thought that there ~10 vocalist 11. "I`m controversy" - playing around interesting sound effects 12 "Value" - collaboration with Apple (AMV on iPad), sounds pretty cool 13. "Kick back" - "cover" on Chainsaw-man op with surprise 14. "Aishite" - cover on Kikuo`s (Vocaloid) song. It is like "emotional roller coaster" 15. "Villain Utattemita" - a cover of a song with lyrics in English and Korean. 16. "Gira gira" - contains powerfull lyrics. I advice to watch AMVs firstly instead live version or advances subs version, because it contains a part of meaning and another detailes that can be lost in the live There are no all Ado`s songs present on the official channel. There is complete list of Ado`s songs. It contains now ~150 (covers, collabs, etc) th-cam.com/play/PLY2mBsWVBIfYl2oAp-_VFzXcn60GfrwZb.html&si=80M-iW2RC87rnUZx If calculate from her major debut, it is looks like she releases new song each 10 days. It is break my mind. Your job is not finished yet)))~
If you are looking for a more powerful song, I recommend her cover of "unravel," which she sang when she was 21. The LIVE version is especially amazing! I'm glad I got to see this video!
Try checking out One OK Rock singing Clock Strikes live in their Luxury Desease tour! They are an amazing Japanese band and this is a great performance
I wish youd been recommended the live piano ver of this - its even better especially from a vocal coach's perspective. Adi is amazing - i really hope you do a good few more of her stuff- you wont have a good idea of her till youve done half a dozen or more. Mostly you want the MV versions - esp since there is no footage of her singing bar her sillouhette anyways. Id recommend tot musica and where the wind blows, and crime and punishment first. Then there are the vids of her extreme vocal fries from her live concerts..
First time watching one of your videos, but great breakdown. Will definitely continue watch more, especially for more Ado vids! Subscribing now. Too many good songs to choose from. Vocally though, I'd say the most variety in a song and most fun to break down is "Aishite Aishite Aishite". Personally, I loved "Fleeting Lullaby" though, I'm a sucker for jazzy stuff.
Other artist I would recomend it's Miyashita Yuu, he isn't as known as Ado, but I absolutely LOVE his voice and covers, the layers and complexity of some of his songs always amazes me
Ado has some great stuff. There also a few different English covers of this song which could be interesting to look at since translating songs is so difficult (Trickle’s rendition is my recommendation)
I'm so excited to see you react to Ado!! I just found you by your reactions of Chapell as well! I'm ready for more of your analysis on artists I love. Oh also please react to Ado's cover of Aishite Aishite Aishite.
So... fun fact. This track came out when Ado was 18 however she was still 17 when recording it. She's having her 2nd world tour next year. I already have my ticker for her London gig 😁
1)【LIVE映像】unravel 日本武道館 2023.8.30【Ado】 2)【LIVE映像】唱 日本武道館 2023.8.30【Ado】 3)【LIVE映像】踊 さいたまスーパーアリーナ 2022.8.11【Ado】 - It was an encore song, and here she got tired and made a few mistakes. It's worth starting with these two live performances. This will give you an idea of her. I've studied a lot and know a lot about her, she hasn't shown herself yet, she's in the shadows. But believe me, there's no need to see her. She sings all genres, all existing ones. She also writes songs and plays the guitar. At 22, she even created an idol group and leads it as a music producer. She's been singing since childhood. Since she was 14, she's been posting covers on the Internet, and at 17, she became famous. Now she's going on her second world tour, and it's going to stadiums. She recently held a concert at the national stadium, gathering 140,000 people. Almost all of her songs are on the top of the Japanese billboard
@@TimWelchVocalStudioIt is Vocally and production is killer and she was quite young when the song was released 19 I was fully Captivated when I first heard this song and I liked it even more after learning the meaning/lyrics of the song The lyrics criticize society's "common sense", about what should and should not be Ado speaking on behalf of members of society about their dissatisfaction and anger with society in particular Japanese work culture which notoriously can be extremely toxic The song Ended of being a little controversial in Japan for that reason with her throwing nonspecific jabs at Japanese work culture annoyed many lol
Last comment for the day, haha. Some other songs that I recommend are Backlight (it's kinda similar to the one you just reacted to. Rebellious theme) I'm Invincible Tot Musica I'm a Controversy Odo
It is also worth saying that although she sometimes writes her own music and songs, most of her songs are written by famous songwriters, and they also make up part of her success, they are excellent composers.
Some of her live videos have also been released, so we recommend you watch them. It's hard to believe, but she also uses her versatile voice live. This is not a process unique to a studio. She can do it with her own voice.
There is a live performance of this song, though it is a bit of a Rave so a bit difficult to see and focus on Ado, I don't know a lot about Ado (though I do love her voice) What i do know is that this was her debut song and it was actually written and produced by another artist Syudou. I would recommend a song of Syudou's a personal favorite of mine is "In the Back Room"
It's fun to see because she makes a variety of voices from whistle voices to shout voices. Ado's aishite live has a sharp difference in high and low in her songs. We also recommend the dignity live version, which produces a whistle voice with a quiet song. 😂 I don't know why, but I also recommend a show for fun songs. 😂Please take a look someday❤
Imagine this being more or less a starting point for an artist at I think she was 17 or 18 or younger? I can’t quite remember but yeah she is GOATed for a reason! On top of stupid skills all her songs are very distinctly her and just an amazingly fun time!
So you asked about the visuals. Every song features a different artist, but as for Usseewa the artist is Wooma, they make a lot of music videos and you can always find the credits in the description and video. I would also like to recommend the song "Tarine"/たりねぇ from Syudou the producer of Usseewa and "Annoyance"/邪魔 cover from Ado
I'm glad that you're moved by her vocal quality, but as a Japanese Ado fan, I'd be even happier if you could translate the lyrics and let me know what you think about them as well.🇯🇵🥳❤
Im pretty sure that all the artists involved in the production are either in the MV credits OR in the description. Ado always credits ppl she works with
down the rabbithole we go boys! the concert version os her unravel cover is just insane (in a very good way) edit: also listening with closed captions on helps since most songs are translated into english there
Next, try ADO’s hit ODO (Dance! [imperative form]) OMV - ( th-cam.com/video/YnSW8ian29w/w-d-xo.html Then compare to the very different twin vocals of the all-female Harajuku-core band HANABIE’s Metal cover - th-cam.com/video/SPSpXzp3tfQ/w-d-xo.html
Okay if you are looking for recommendations, I’d try RuLe for sure, and then her covers of Aishite Aishite Aishite (originally a vocaloid song) and Crime and Punishment (originally by Sheena Ringo, who is another artist you could check out). Gira Gira is very popular and I love Shikabanese, one of Ado’s collab songs with Jon-YAKITORY (I believe yakitory writes it and Ado sings it)
If you plan on listening to more Ado. My personal recommendation is listen to Gira Gira then Eien No Akuruhi. (Odo and Show are good ones as well, with live versions to compare)And finally, check out the songs she sang for One Piece RED movie)
The person that wrote this song this song: syudou is also a really good singer! You should check out his song bakushou. It’s one of my favorites! He also did a self-cover of this song. Also you should check out ado’s other songs, odo is another good one.
some suggestions: Odo Gira Gira God-ish Show Unravel Aishite Aishite Aishite One Piece: Film Red Soundtrack (she was the singing voice of a character named Uta. each song was composed by a different person. my personal favorites are Tot Musica [Hiroyuki Sawano], Fleeting Lullaby [TOPHAMHAT-KYO of FAKE TYPE], and Backlight [Vaundy])
One of her coolest live performances of musically interesting songs is definitely “aishite aishite aishite”. (That or “Show”) She’s sung cooler songs, but none where a live version exists on TH-cam as far as I know. (Would love to hear live versions of RuLe, Crime & Punishment or godish)
Reactor: I don`t know nothing about Ado...
Ado`s fans: FRESH MEAT)))

Actually, just do any live version, they're all better than the studio versions.
Yes, her live version of "Unravel" is absolutely great!
I think in Ussewa`s live she went overboard with screams. And as I think she`s bridge "Haaaa" not so powerfull in the live as in studio
@@RinnetenseiQ A friend who was at 2 concerts said that even the performances at the concerts were different from each other.
ナイスリアクションです😊👍
PLEAAAASE react to Crow from Upiko, I’m sure you’ll love it !
She has a crazy range of voice and carries so much emotions through it
rewatch the video with captions turned on, all of the lyrics are english translated
Awesome thanks.
PLEASE DO MORE ADO REACTIONS 🙏🙏
✨💛🙏🏼
This song was originally written by another artist called Syuudo (who has his own version of this song) I'd also recommend checking him out
Well, that just got added to like 3 different playlists and once again I'm sitting over here like... I wanna sing like that lol
it’s really a professional reaction, more Ado😊
She also has a few live versions of her song on the TH-cam channel from her concert blu-ray/dvd footage.
"Show" is her most vocally acrobatic song imo.
"Crime and Punishment" is her rawest song, with the least vocal edits I think?
"Unravel Live version" is her singing live, but you still can't see her face because it's part of her persona to "show" the music by "hiding" herself.
please react the LIVE version for this song, is another level
【LIVE映像】うっせぇわ 喜劇〜カムパネルラ〜蜃気楼〜マーズ【Ado】
Some background on Japanese culture and how this song intersects with it:
Japan is much more collectivist than the western culture.
Beautifully explained! Thank you so much. Wow how crazy. I’m seeing new rabbit holes emerging! Vocaloid deep dive coming.
She's the most interesting vocalist around today.
I'd LOVE to see you react to show! and yeah she has a lot of live performances :)
As Ado`s big fan I must carry this faith to the masses.
Most of her song, independently is it a cover or is it her own song sounds like banger. Lyrics also full of meaning (don`t forget about subs)
To know who is she I recomend next video
th-cam.com/video/8PcaVsj5ZVw/w-d-xo.html
I recomend to listen next if not listened yet:
1. "Unravel" - cover on TK`s song. Imho, cover better than original. And also live performance of this cover from her better than studio version
3. "Shoka" - song written by Ado. This song made me scare twice, firstly when I listen an see AMV, secondly when I check lyrics... "Ado are you ok?" - that's all I could think about at that moment. I think it is saddest and anxious song from her
4. "Rule" - maybe the most aggressive song from her
5. Entire album with song for anime One Peace film Red
6. "Rebelion" - AMV looks like entire anime
7. "Crime & Punishment" - cover on Shina Ringo`s song, that concentrate attantion on her vocal (your ears must be ready)
8. "Show" - demonstrate abilities to mix the different cultures and different genres into one song, like entire album
9. "Odo" - she tries on the role of DJ
10. "God-ish" - while listening firstly I thought that there ~10 vocalist
11. "I`m controversy" - playing around interesting sound effects
12 "Value" - collaboration with Apple (AMV on iPad), sounds pretty cool
13. "Kick back" - "cover" on Chainsaw-man op with surprise
14. "Aishite" - cover on Kikuo`s (Vocaloid) song. It is like "emotional roller coaster"
15. "Villain Utattemita" - a cover of a song with lyrics in English and Korean.
16. "Gira gira" - contains powerfull lyrics.
I advice to watch AMVs firstly instead live version or advances subs version, because it contains a part of meaning and another detailes that can be lost in the live
There are no all Ado`s songs present on the official channel. There is complete list of Ado`s songs. It contains now ~150 (covers, collabs, etc)
th-cam.com/play/PLY2mBsWVBIfYl2oAp-_VFzXcn60GfrwZb.html&si=80M-iW2RC87rnUZx
If calculate from her major debut, it is looks like she releases new song each 10 days. It is break my mind.
Your job is not finished yet)))~
Been a while since ive heard Usseewa made me remember why its one of my favourites amd why she became so popular
More to come for sure!!
@@TimWelchVocalStudio If you dont want to do usseewa piano ver since its the same song, I hope you at least listen to it for yourself :)
more🔥Ado💙
Check her live performances, they are absolutely amazing.
I'm so excited to see you react to Ado!! I just found you by your reactions of Chapell as well! I'm ready for more of your analysis on artists I love. Oh also please react to Ado's cover of Aishite Aishite Aishite.
✨🙏🏼
If I remember correctly, all of Ado's videos (or most of them) have fairly reliable subtitles. I recommend putting the CC of their videos
So... fun fact. This track came out when Ado was 18 however she was still 17 when recording it.
She's having her 2nd world tour next year. I already have my ticker for her London gig 😁
1)【LIVE映像】unravel 日本武道館 2023.8.30【Ado】
2)【LIVE映像】唱 日本武道館 2023.8.30【Ado】
3)【LIVE映像】踊 さいたまスーパーアリーナ 2022.8.11【Ado】 - It was an encore song, and here she got tired and made a few mistakes.
Awesome, thanks!
I love how the Ado recommendations comment turned straight up professional at this point. I have to step up.
@@KorporalNoobs No, I'm just an amateur.
@@Olkam-w5u Let's called it Freelancer lol
@@KorporalNoobs Also no. I just had some free time. And TH-cam gave me this reaction, so I wrote a comment. :))
Yeah!!!! Exciting
Such an amazing song!
@@TimWelchVocalStudioIt is Vocally and production is killer and she was quite young when the song was released 19
I was fully Captivated when I first heard this song and I liked it even more after learning the meaning/lyrics of the song
The lyrics criticize society's "common sense", about what should and should not be Ado speaking on behalf of members of society about their dissatisfaction and anger with society in particular
Japanese work culture which notoriously can be extremely toxic The song Ended of being a little controversial in Japan for that reason with her throwing nonspecific jabs at Japanese work culture annoyed many lol
Last comment for the day, haha.
Some other songs that I recommend are
Backlight (it's kinda similar to the one you just reacted to. Rebellious theme)
I'm Invincible
Tot Musica
I'm a Controversy
Odo
I appreciate it thanks!
Great!
Now do the live version
It is also worth saying that although she sometimes writes her own music and songs, most of her songs are written by famous songwriters, and they also make up part of her success, they are excellent composers.
Thanks for the reaction, Please try unravel - live version from her
Some of her live videos have also been released, so we recommend you watch them.
I would recommend a song of Syudou's a personal favorite of mine is "In the Back Room"
her original songs always have english subtitles as well and the lyrics in her songs are really good and interesting
Great video!
She never shows her face but I highly recommend the live version of Aishite Aishite, Show or Unravel
Ado live is even better. She is one of a kind. Check out her Useewa live performance even better.
I would also like to recommend the song "Tarine"/たりねぇ from Syudou the producer of Usseewa and "Annoyance"/邪魔 cover from Ado
ado just released a new song too! it’s amazing
you should listen to her crime and punishment cover it is so good!
Ado always credits ppl she works with
My man, you don't know the rabbit hole you've got yourself into... You WON'T want to get out of it 🤩
More to come. Excited to get back to Ado. Such a fascinating world.
I've thought a lot about who to compare her to, the only case is Mike Patton, if you remember him. Her studio recordings and live ones differ greatly.
down the rabbithole we go boys!
the concert version os her unravel cover is just insane (in a very good way)
edit: also listening with closed captions on helps since most songs are translated into english there
Next, try ADO’s hit ODO (Dance! [imperative form]) OMV - ( th-cam.com/video/YnSW8ian29w/w-d-xo.html
Then compare to the very different twin vocals of the all-female Harajuku-core band HANABIE’s Metal cover - th-cam.com/video/SPSpXzp3tfQ/w-d-xo.html
Okay if you are looking for recommendations, I’d try RuLe for sure, and then her covers of Aishite Aishite Aishite (originally a vocaloid song) and Crime and Punishment (originally by Sheena Ringo, who is another artist you could check out). Gira Gira is very popular and I love Shikabanese, one of Ado’s collab songs with Jon-YAKITORY (I believe yakitory writes it and Ado sings it)
React to her Unravel live version, please. It’s insane! 🔥
Future recommendations for Ado:
- Odo
- Tot Musica
- Godish
- Crime and Punshiment
- Shoka (her most recent, first song she ever wrote by herself)
If you plan on listening to more Ado. My personal recommendation is listen to Gira Gira then Eien No Akuruhi. (Odo and Show are good ones as well, with live versions to compare)And finally, check out the songs she sang for One Piece RED movie)
The person that wrote this song this song: syudou is also a really good singer! You should check out his song bakushou. It’s one of my favorites! He also did a self-cover of this song.
Also you should check out ado’s other songs, odo is another good one.
YEEEEHHHH Adooo!!! Fucking GOAT.
You should check out her live performance
If you like this song from her, I recommend “Odo” or “Rule”
I recommend aahite live and odo
some suggestions:
Odo
Gira Gira
God-ish
Show
Unravel
Aishite Aishite Aishite
One Piece: Film Red Soundtrack (she was the singing voice of a character named Uta. each song was composed by a different person. my personal favorites are Tot Musica [Hiroyuki Sawano], Fleeting Lullaby [TOPHAMHAT-KYO of FAKE TYPE], and Backlight [Vaundy])
One of her coolest live performances of musically interesting songs is definitely “aishite aishite aishite”. (That or “Show”)
She’s sung cooler songs, but none where a live version exists on TH-cam as far as I know. (Would love to hear live versions of RuLe, Crime & Punishment or godish)
Her songs are usually well translated in the subtitles, so I recommend turning on closed captions
If you want to check out another Japanese pop artist, Minami is also amazing!!
time to go down the ado rabbit hole! have funnn
Is no one talking about Show? Cuz that song also shows a great range of her vocal skills
It’d be awesome if you could react to her songs Crime and Punishment, Aishite Aishite Aishite, and Shoka
So for the next video since u are new to her how about
Dignity
Or
Himawari
Or
Gira Gira
Or
Annoyance 😅😅😂😂😂
Next song? Ado - Odo. For many reasons
