I am currently working on this pattern and wish I would’ve seen this video before doing the brim knitting. You are correct that it is much less fussy to do provisional cast on than the way she has it spelled out in the pattern. Thanks for the clear explanation. It was most helpful.
Thank you for the very clear explanation of how to knit the folded brim of the hat. I have been thinking of knitting a hat but haven't started as yet. I would have done the knit 2 purl 2 brim. After seeing this I am eager to try your way. Many thanks you make me want to start the hat.
Thanks for sharing this useful tip. I was going to knit down instead of sewing and this makes it a lot easier to find the matching stitches using provisional cast-on.
Oh thank you this!!!!! I’m a long time crochet’er who recently learned how to knit. This part of the cap scared me. I have no clue what the pattern meant. I couldn’t visualize it. Now, after seeing this video, my confidence returned! Thank you, girl!! I’m a fan!
Do you still turn the work and do whatever the pattern says? You just don't need to sew it afterwards? When i have done what you do in this video do you just continue with turning the work right away? Excuse my english and I hope you understand what I meant. I have never knit this before and I am a beginner so I get lost pretty easily🫣

I am a new subscriber and I have to say this is the best provisional cast on video ever. Showing the entire process is priceless. Thank you so much. ❤
Super clear and helpful, thank you! I love the appearance from your bird and your sense of humor :)
I’m about to start this exact project and I can’t believe how lucky I’m to see this ! So helpful !!
Thank you for this video. I am now encouraged and inspired to try this hat.
Very nice tutorial. To the point and super clear instructions. Thank you.

Great video! I made the Friday tee, the collar is folded over and sewn. Will definitely use this tip on the next one. Thanks, Haley!

🙂
I made it per the pattern and did not enjoy sewing the two together so next time will use this video. Thanks Haley!!
You are so welcome!
I made that hat. I also choose to knit the stitches together after the provisional cast on. Sewing it is just silly :)
agreed! xox
Gru was a delightful addition to the video.
Thank you!

They do pick up stitches!! Did you read the Pattern? I donˋt think so… sorry
I thought it was censored word 😂
