  • I would say of my top 5 towns to visit right outside of Medellín, San Antonio de Pereira is one of them. It’s most famous for all the artisanal desserts they offer in the town center. The town is a quick ride outside of Medellín, a little over an hour depending on your pace and if you stop. The ride is beautiful and you go through el Retiro to arrive in Rionegro. You pass many shops along the way and places to buy custom furniture and many things made out of wood like large tables. It’s a beautiful ride through the mountains going above Medellín.
While we were riding we saw a beautiful church called the Caballeros de la Virgen. It looked magical above in the mountains. We had to go explore and we got some cool shots with the drone.
All and all I loved San Antonio de Pereira. I think it’s a nice little excursion away from the city. There are also lots of little places to stop along the way. The restaurant we ate at was great. There are some interesting antique and arts stores if you like that type of thing. It’s a great little adventure especially on a moto.
