Yes people partying on the streets will be nice to you....if you are a drunk like them, and if you are....be careful.

Affordability is another plus that you missed. You can have a middle class life style for a fraction of the cost you would pay in the US. I'm talking about a very nice apartment or house good restaurants cheaper groceries. You can have domestic help very cheaply etc Uber is $3 dollars

i went there for '2 weeks' and then I rejected 2 return flights back to the states, because I simply did not want to leave. I was there for 3 happy months instead! Now I'm working a way to get back for longer periods

Nice to meet you Rob, I also love the nature in Medallo. The closeness and interwovenness of it all. Especially the little parks everywhere that aren't official parks just spaces between buildings they leave green. Also good to know, there's fake plane tickets you can buy for like $5-20 online, I used one to get here, but glad it all worked out for you. The fact that you can get to a national park without leaving the Metro is just insane.

Is definitely a personal choice, but to me Medellin is a good blend between great weather, affordability, awesome transportation, and people I like to be around...2010 was my first time there an 12 years later, I have grown to love it even more...

Man, I am HOOKED on Colombia, specifically Medellin! I first visited in August of 2021 and have been back twice since. I'm headed back at the end of July and trying to get a trip in around September. I'm from New Orleans, so we all are friendly just like there. I've since got a girlfriend there and we're doing great! I'm almost at the point of retirement so me and my brother from another mother are looking to cop a spot around the Itagui area. I saw some spots there last time, but only on the outside. We want to go in some of the spots the next time. I dont plan to give up my home here in the US, and I want us to travel the US once I fully retire in a camper, but I WILL move to Medellin, please believe. I love nature as well! Everything and everyone is so genuine. I'm from the projects in New Orleans, so game recognize game, ya feel me? But I don't get off into any of that. I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. My girl is my speed and around my age. She is on my wavelength so we vibe very well and I love her family and her family loves me.. Thanks for sharing your experience, brother!I hope to see you there one day!
