I honestly think their somewhat odd designs help instead of hurt. Instead of generic anime boy, they give off a different feel, making them more memorable. Of course, this only works if the personality behind the design is equally or even more distinct.
@@AlfredEiji I kinda agree. My only complaint is that the design of the face feels a lot larger than the rest of his head, and I'm pretty sure a couple of the other StarsEN talents have that issue
They could've had great designs AND personalities. I like a few of the JP designs way, way more, but they don't stream in English much so we don't really have a way to know how they'd compare.

Female classmate from a university I went to refused to believe that I watch anime. She said "Yeah right, you dont look like someone like that". Then she and her friends laughed. Still have no idea what I looked like to them and why.

imo the clowning was inevitable, it was just a very unfortunate mix of doubters (anti-stars/anti-males from holopro then vocal tribalists from niji)
