On January 3rd I parked a new 2022 Candytone Blue Z900RS in my garage. What a sweet little motorcycle! No buyer remorse here.... I graduated High School in 1975, remember those BADDASS Z1's roaming the streets in Northern California when they were new. When the 73' model hit the dealers, everybody's jaw dropped! The 750 Four had its CROWN 👑 taken...... Good video guys!!
I bought a maroon 1975 Z1B brand new in 75 . To this day that is one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL motorcycles EVER manufactured ! If Kawasaki ever were to come out with an exact copy I would buy another and I'm 76 years old !!
I'm now 70 and had the same bike in 1978 that you had. I had more fun on that bike than any i ever owned and i've had 49 bikes. I now own a 2018 z900rs and I have to say it's a better bike than the old one in every way but it lacks the personality.
I bought a 1974 Z1B brand new for $2000. A motorcycle 40 years ahead of its time. A classic. The sound of the 4 exhausts under acceleration is music to my ears. Who needs drugs when you can have a mind blowing experience like this 😍
Had the 1975 Blue Z1B in 1976. Sold it in 1979 when I got married. It was the last bike I owned until last year when I bought A BLUE 1975 Z1B. Not selling this one, but will ride it as often as I can.
Roll on!👍👌🍾
Beautiful bikes. Excellent well made video. Thank you. Had the earlier bike, ’76 KZ900, at age 19, sold it, young and dumb. Now I’ve got the 900rs. Both of them superb bikes but the ’76 far better looking.
My first bike and I mean the first motorcycle I ever road and owned was a KZ 900 Kawi back in 1976 yes I bought the baddest motorcycle at the time I practiced in the parking lot and drove it to work that night at Coors brewery got blasted at the bar after work drove home (repeat). never dumped her ever and I used to race her on the weekends at the 1/4 mile track I will never love a bike like that again.
A young fella on a Z9 in the 70s and 80s, it doesn't get any better. I lived that dream too. I've had a lot of great bikes but my zed 9 was the most special hands down.
Too much air between rear tire and seat, need to slam it - otherwise great! Nothing sounded better than an early Z1 with a Kerker once the baffle wrappings cooked off. I can close my eyes and still here my green '74 :)
Always wanted a zephr when I was a kid . Had my midlife crisis bought the metallic black z900rs . Scared the living s#*t out of me at first as it was my first bike . But absolutely love it now . Only got 150 miles on it as after a few hours every time I took out and didn't drop . I Parked it up .
@@joelbyrd7958 around 74 I watched some US Soldiers here in Germany on a "Party-Area" at USAF "Dagger Complex" Griesheim ; I was 14 and not alowed to go in; but they don't care; I was a little scared since they were not sober and one of them had a blue H2 and they raced around not like crazy, no, like totaly crazy with that bike; that left an very deep impression and in 78 I could afford a used one ( and 4 more H2a after that :) )
Obligements from from Cowtown Texas... Kawasaki got Triumph beat on the versions. But now, Ya done up & got me hungry for the word version of the song. 111418
The original is definitely prettier. The modern incarnation would be safer and better to live with as a daily. If they were both the same price I'd go the original.

A Kawasaki Z1 e a Honda CB750 são as melhores e mais lindas motocicletas do Século XX.

На Это можно смотреть ВЕЧНО !
when God was still around
Win win!!!

Should have lined them up and dropped the flag... Dad still has his '73 he bought new Rootbeer/Orange with 1,700 miles on the clock.
The Z1 is iconic, the modern version just a poor pastiche. 👍🇬🇧
i tubi di scarico più belli di sempre li monta la z1
Z1 more beautiful but where is the real sound, blarrrrr!!!
