Jess doesn't bring a balance to the men; she's too dude-ish. I miss Angela. If she's selected as the host; like Deon said, if it's not for you than why go to see it. So, I will drop in only when Jess isn't co-hosting because she set the bar really low.

I started grief therapy 4 weeks after my mom passed away on 8-12-22 because I knew, immediately, that otherwise my mind was going to take me into a really dark place. It wasn't weird for me, it was just different. I feel deeply for this great brother. When your mom is your best friend, there is just no explanation of the pain you feel.

She had been sick and had her oxygen tank there, but she was there. We took pics. Thank you, Deon Cole for sharing your experience. I can truly relate. My mother passed Dec, 2022, I was preparing to defend my dissertation. I finished and my graduation is June 10th and it is bittersweet. Those moments you want to share and they are not there to celebrate with you.. No one celebrates you stronger than your mother. God bless you, Deon. We're going to make our mama proud. Your message encouraged me to keep going. 😊

As someone who lost both parents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins in 18 months, Deon was so on point with so many people leaving during grief and me also feeling crazy when something good happens because I miss my folks so much! There’s no way I will ever be the same. So I’m grateful for those that stuck with me till this day! I’m still grieving but healing all at the same time.
Prayers to everyone who was drafted into this club🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

You can see the pain in his eyes 😢 they always say hard times show you who your real friends are. I hate to hear ppl say they go through ish like this, especially in times of need 😢 God Bless Him and all on this thread that are dealing with a loss of a loved you 🙏🏾❤️

My momma passed in November 2017 of brain cancer. And I was her caretaker for a year. And it still is fresh. But he's definitely on point about friendship. I went out to a club maybe 6mos after my momma passed away and was crying in the bathroom, told by someone to " get over it", and just became reclusive. Stayed to myself. Many didn't understand and I lost some people just for the reasons he said. And a year to the date of her passing, I had to attend a New Employee Job Orientation for 8 hours. Hardest day of my life.

I just love Deon! I must say as a person who has lose a lot of family within the last 4 years. The one thing you can do for a friend or family member that’s grieving is show up. Be a presence in their life. It’s not about a bunch of words but being there in person, call or text. Listening to them even if they repeat themselves. Just do not taking anything personal., just find moments or ways to support. I promise they will never forget. But what’s sad is that some people will not truly understand until they experience. someone very close to them pass away. Then when you see anyone go through that pain , your heart instantly goes out to them. You get it, and want to be there, do something for them.. Because you know how that feels.. SMH..

I completely agree. I lost my dad, grandma and great grandma back to back 1 year apart from each other. I also was going through some other personal stuff and had to spend a lot of time by myself. Certain close people around me still wanted me to be there for them but I couldn’t.

I love Deon Cole. He is spot on in talking about grieving and losing friends. I lost my mother and yes, it changed me. I’ve lost friends, as a result of what he said. I’m still trying to adjust to this new normal and it’s a very lonely place. Not only do I mourn the death of my mother, but also have to mourn the death of friendships too.

Lost 3 siblings in the last five years and man, his talk was real. Grief has no time limit. Allow people to heal at their pace and there’s nothing wrong with therapy.

The loss of friends, i get it. My fiance oldest childhood friend criticized, and they are now not friends because we moved 2 and half hrs away. I didnt understand it because almost all of my friends have moved to different states and we speak all the time while wishing each other the best in life. I didnt know men behaved like this.
