really ? I did not know that. thanks for the comment. Man I know it can be challenging getting vitamin d and b12 as a vegan. But pretty easy to supplement. That's really interesting.I wonder when he did the change?. and if he has noticed advantages or disadvantages
@THEMOTOBRO-d7l Steve Lamson said he gave up meat near the end of his racing career and said it was a mistake. I'm not sure about the timeline or when he started. 🤦♂️ I'm a meat eater, but was also curious how he's able to fuel himself during training and race day scenarios. 🤙🏁
@@holeshotinspectionllc2412 so yeah its interesting you mentioned that cause. their is simply not many examples of it working out. The fact is that if two very important nutrients are only found in animal products it seems clear that we are intended to eat meat. And I am kind of shocked he is doing this
Complex carbs occasionally, meat constantly, sprinkling in some fruit, completely cutting out processed sugars. None of that’s debatable science now. Vegetables however seem to be a debatable topic now days. Everyone’s body responds a bit differently too, you have to find your own sweet spot.
Very cool !!? do you cycle and or ride motocross. Have you noticed any effect it has on performance? And I I guess ken roczen is on an animals based diet. So he is not on the carnivore. I guess if you not like high intensity cardio really often you can reduce your carb intake pretty significantly and reduce hunger spikes. The most dreaded effect of a lot of carbs lol
@ i get my carbs from fruit on days where I know I will be on the bike. I don’t find it necessary in the gym. I’m nowhere near a pro level, I race intermediate or expert depending on what State and discipline I happen to be racing in at the time, which is nothing spectacular. I do however train regularly and monitor my health data closely. I race moto and offroad. I cycle to stay in shape. I’m heavily focused on cardio daily with 3 days a week strength training. Nothing too extreme. I’m in my mid 30s. All seems to be pretty standard stuff now days. My diet is basically all protein and fruit. Occasionally I have a salad because they’re tasty but if I’m focused on performance, meat and fruit, some potatoes perhaps. Fairly similar to roczens diet. Mainly what I’ve discovered is no one persons diet is going to be the same. You can take cues from people but you have to work on knowing your body and gathering data to determine what’s truly working for you.
@@user-mo8tm4jw2l man I love hearing about this. That's rad you race ! I ride dirt bikes but race DH mtbs. So racing motorcycles is gnarly lol. but yeah it interesting to hear about your approach. I know one of the big benifits of reducing carbs like you have is hunger pang. Im not sure people realize a BIG reason they are constantly hungry is because they are eating so much carbs. its just is fast burning and then your like. AHHHHHHHHHH I need to eat lol. but thanks for the comment. I love hearing about this. This is why I love the sport, and racing. Everyone should try racing. If not Moto, mtb, dh off road etc. the discipline it breeds is really beneficial. But awesome to hear !!!!
Roczen is on meat only and said it made a huge difference i remember forkner swilling pixy sticks as soon as he got off the track during a triple crown.said it kept him from having low sugar levels.
so yeah the no sugar doesn't apply to intense efforts on the motorcycle or bike. Like road cyclist eat a lot of sugar during racing. Because its is some of the fastest absorbing carbs. As well as that bit of boost from the sugar itself. and same thing for supercross and motocross. Like energy gels are like half just sugar gel.
you are correct. Like I guess the first realization of keto diets was possible the inuits eating mostly like whale and meat. And the explorers where like what ??
@@THEMOTOBRO-d7l A big mistake that some make when going to an all meat diet is not eating enough fats (among the best are beef fat/tallow and butter). Getting enough fat is crucial for the diet to be sustainable physically and mentally.
@THEMOTOBRO-d7l make a video about des Nations at ironman this year and how we might see deegs ride a 450 in outdoors if he secures the 250 west this year and rides a 450 at des nations with Eli and Hymas on a 250. Don't forget to make a video about how Prado is essentially admitting he's not ready for supercross yet, the bike looks ok at best amd he looks uncomfortable at best, and this year will be a top 10 goal with outdoors possibly giving him room to go top 5 possibly, but from what I see and hear, he's gonna get smoked in Supercross this year. Then there's the fact that nobody is talking about the possible departure of Roger deCoster after almost giving up last year like a cry baby and how we are looking at the plus 30 riders staying in the sport at higher numbers than ever before... or Brian and the Tomacs partnering to create a new team with a lot of familiar faces jumping to this new team as this is the future i believe as it will open up more control of haidens future and money management- retainmnet and ad in sponsor controls and merch control and taking a bigger piece of the pie. Makes more sense to do it yourself your way than let others do it for you. You hire the people you want and the riders you want with the sponsors that suit your situation the best. All in-house, all top tier investments and employees. Brian and Marissa are perfect to run it for years and then pass it down to Haiden when he retires. I'm full of content ideas. Hit me up if you wanna work something out.
Remember, food doesn't have ingredients; food IS ingredients. Most of what people call food isn't food.
well said !!. I am pumped that people are into talking about this. I enjoy it. I race DH Mtbs and am working on sharpening my diet !!
JS7 was hanging with and beating RC on a strict diet of donuts and soda lol this is an insane video to make bc practically ALL athletes eat the same

Carbs are necessary because most people aren't fat-adapted. Long term meat/fat eaters don't need carbs.
