- Ikaros is located in the middle of Stockholm's tivoli Gröna Lund and is their signature drop tower, out of a total of three large drop towers.
Themed to the Greek Icarus, Ikaros is an incredible ride experience that delivers a unique sensation rarely found anywhere else, with the only other of its kind, the Intamin Sky Jump, being Falcon's Fury at Busch Gardens Tamba Bay.

This review was very good. As someone who lives in sweden and visits this park yearly I have to agree with everything you said. It's a bit of a bummer you didnt get to ride the other side and see the view of the sea, beacuse that view is incredible. The best part about the ride in my opinion is the tilt, beacuse when you are at like 70 degrees you already feel scared, and then it stops for half a second and later turns you to 90 degrees. I have ridden this ride more than 20 times, and I always get stressed when it tilts. Another thing that happens to me that I love is that my legs always shake like crazy after the first ride of it when I visit Gröna lund. I haven't really been to many other parks so I can't relate or completely understand the comparisons you're making, but it feels you know what you're talking about. I'm happy you really enjoy ikaros!

I definitely feel some of the same things you do with the tilt. I was nervous on all my rides (though not nearly as much as on my first 🤣), and I actually found my legs shaking the most during the tilt, because I didn't know what to do with them. I hope to ride it again in a few years! Thanks for watching 😁

Great video and great review! Very interesting drop tower! Probably one of the more scary ones in the world. The tilt part of it at the top is cool though.

It’s an awesome ride but it’s not the tallest drop tower in the park. The tallest tower as you said is Eclipse but the tallest drop tower is the regular tower Fritt fall.
I simply went with the park's own measurements.
They say that Fritt Fall is 80 meters, whereas they say that Ikaros is 95 meters :)
@@NorthernRidesYaBoi Yeah the tower height of Ikaros is 95 meters and the drop height is 76 meters. And the drop height of fritt fall is 80 meters but the tower height is 100 meters. Read Wikipedia. They even say that you fall from 80 meters. For some reason they don’t mention the tower height.
But it’s a really cool ride! I’ve ridden it 18 times, and it’s one of my favourite rides. Happy to hear you like it to.
