I found a mildly used SC a little over a month ago. Purchased it for $150 including it's one ten rd mag. I was able to locate three 13 rd mags online but indeed noticed a lot of the sites selling SC mags were out of stock. They are available but it does require one to dig around a little to find them. Love the feel of this handgun and really like the trigger on it.....
Love mine. Operates flawlessly. Like the feel in my hand over the Glock with the better trigger guard cut. No Glock knuckle. 😂 Mine goes back together smoothly just like the Glock, have never had to manipulate the plunger or hook. First thing I did was order three 13 round mags for it, to get a comfortable full 3 fingered grip. I have a 10 round flush, and the 10 round standard, but only load them for range use. All in all? I prefer it over the Glock as an EDC. And I have a good many choices at 14 to choose from. They're all mission sensitive. 🥳
Same here love mine as well. I did the same thing in acquiring three 13 round mags right away. I also agree it is like night and day getting all three fingers for better feel in the hand. As much as I dig the Glock options and carried one for years this Stoeger takes the cake for feel *AND* trigger (in my opinion). Impressive also is the accuracy of this thing...
The finish on the SC in the thumbnail looks far better than any Stoeger 9mm finish I've seen before. They usually look like they're been spray painted or powder coated and they scratch and get worn out very easily. The one in the video thumbnail almost looks like black nitride though... and now on Stoeger's website they list them all as having Cerakote finishes (coatings). I'm not sure what the old Stoeger models had, but it was terrible. If it was Cerakote, then they must have applied it or cured it wrong or something, because it was pretty bad how easily damaged the finish/coating was.
I have over 300 rounds through mine without a hitch. As a relatively new shooter, this is the best shooting of any of my 5 nine mm semi's, and my friends Glock. For the price you'd have a hard time finding a better weapon imo.
Are any Stoeger and Glock parts compatible? Could someone build a STR-9 with a Glock frame for example? ...or is it just some parts or no interchangeable parts at all?
Wait you said "Hammer has big hands" Are you speaking in 3rd person like "George likes spicy chicken!" Or are you saying Hammer is a separate person altogether? Are there 2 people that do these videos??? Is Hammer behind the camera?? oh god, I need clarification. I thought Hammer Stricker was the name of the channel because you're doing videos on hammer & stricker firearms?
@@JP-gw3bkI can understand the gay part but I just don’t understand how a revolver shooter and semi auto pistol shooter can tolerate each other. Their reviews are great.
That is like comparing a key lime to a grapefruit. Two *ENTIRELY* different creatures. Find a piece be it revolver or semi auto that is comfortable and practical for YOU. Find a range that rents guns out to try different models. This way you can shop for what fits your preferences and needs...
There’s no comparison, for home defense against people, the hellcat with 17 rounds blows the 357 out the water, 17 rounds of 9mm is way better than 5 shots of .357. Now if we talking defense against a bear when hiking then the 357 revolver is better
I'm going to like this video simply on the merits of the copious closeups of the gun and 360° views. I don't need closeups (on other channels) of the presenter's face, his sunglasses, his hackneyed ball cap, beard and tattoos either.
Unbelievable the internal similarities.
I love mine carry everyday over a thousand rounds zero issues brass steel aluminum hollow point all types of ammo...
Nice way to start a Friday, with a hammer comparison video. Good stuff young man.

Considering its price this one is hard to beat
Saw a STR40 at a local gun shop, only came with one Magazine.
It was the reason I didn't go home with it. The mags are hard to find.
I bought them on the Stoeger site as well as Sportco.
@@kevmac1230 What did you think of the STR40
They CAN be found, the reason you can't find them might be an intellectual problem.
I bought 4 Stoeger mags last week at my local gun shop. IN my state you can find them selling in shops.
I like it, especially the cost!

Would a holster for a G26 still fit a Subcompact Stoeger and visa-versa?
I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully someone will give us an answer soon.
Hello to you,
Nice firearm good looking also. Hope to see one soon in my local shop.
Be well
The also have a micro compact that takes the same mags as the rest of the line! It has a nicer finish.
The MC doesn’t take the full size mags. It’s like the Glock 43x. The SC is the Glock 26 and can take larger mags.

I would buy a stoger over a Taurus anyday.may I please ask what’s the best overall bulk am*o
For a ar15? 🙏
Love the channel
The best overall bulk rounds is what you can find at the best price possible...

Love to have one but no one sell no were close to me

oh shit, I sound like a lunatic.
Lmao. It's two guys, with nicknames of Hammer and Striker (I think)
I think their gay. Which is cool, ijs

Many semi auto pistols have hammers, including the 1911
The more ppl buy it it I’m sure there will be more aftermarket parts that will be made
Is he'll cat with 17 rd mag good pistol to have for home defense i was thinking is 357 magnum 4 inch better than hellcat

Better slide release than the factory Glock one
This mag will not fit in the newer MC model. But the MC mag will work in the SC.
Give me the best of small breed - H&K VP9 SK OD Green.
Very nice, but a little chunky/wide
Looks like the Stoeger is slightly more refined, being newer, and less likely to give one Glock Knuckle.

Buen diseño, mecanismo de Glock. Buen trabajo.
i bet the hellcat mags work in it. look similar.
👍👍🇺🇸
Big negative
Had to find mags
One reason I like Daggers
CZ P-10s
Glocks
Mags everywhere
Also Taurus has mags available
Not taking Glock mags is a stupid decision.
By not using Glock mags they were able to improve the ergonomics
