I live in a small village in West Wales ,a Indian family run our local Spar , we often banter about cricket teams ,friendly banter that is , they have even learnt and speak welsh fluently, deliver food for people in the village if their sick or unable to go out , loved and respected by the whole community . @cosmopolitanwonder9675 A lot of those born here don't know any different. First generation immigrants and I know quite a few and grew up with, were like this couple. They know how good it is here, despite its imperfections. Its not perfect by a long chalk, but its a dam site better were most come from. Otherwise they wouldn't go to the trouble of uprooting themselves to come here.

We love the Sikhs ,they are so cool . Years ago at a dinner party I asked a Sikh guy about the turban and how he picks which one ,are they different lengths and general questions. Someone tried to call me out for asking inappropriate questions and suggesting I was being racist. The Sikh guy shut them down immediately and then proceeded to explain the history of the turban and lots of interesting facts that I had literally no idea about. Good on them ,what a lovely couple.

Listening to this interview brought tears to my eyes. Two people of ethnic origin who are every bit as patriotic and proud of their country as myself........ and who completely nail the abominable lies and propaganda perpetuated by the MSM and certain people of a particular political persuasion, that Britain is a racist country, when it is, in fact, if not THE MOST, one of most tolerant countries on this earth. To the extent that our (some might say too great a) tolerance of people of ethnic backgrounds and cultures (or should I say one culture in particular) living in this country, is the root cause of all the problems, division and strife this country is now totally mired in.
