From an artist point of view you can tell this person at least has a basic understanding of how to use the knife and what colors to use in order to make it turn out well. A lot of people if they sat down like this wouldnt be able to pull this off withought an instructional of some type. Skills that are behind the basics like this are why abstracts are expensive at times. (Not always tho)
No, this takes very little effort and practice. Things like anatomy, perspective, value are the ones you spend a life time to master. Color is pretty simple and he didn't even make any color choices, he painted unicorn vomit. If you like it fine but admit it's not hard to do and don't be prettentious about it.
Nadir Hrustanbegovic you’re wrong. Did you even read what the OP said? Most people could not do this, it takes skill to know how to do. It’s funny that you’re the one being pretentious here.
@@Fa11enAngell ok so i did come off as pretty pretentious, but I mean this doesn't take much skill. I takes some basic knowledge but it isn't really praise worthy.
Fun fact: This is actually “non-objective” not “abstract” art. Abstract art refers to a piece that represents an abstraction of a real subject. Eg. Picasso’s paintings usually portray a “distorted” (for lack of a better word) version of people, animals, still life etc. Non-objective art does not portray anything in particular. Like this piece it can just be an exploration of color and texture. Eg. Jackson Pollock’s paintings that are mostly drilled and splattered paint. Representational art refers to work that is attempting to portray something relatively accurately. Not necessarily exactly accurately but definitely recognizable by the viewer. Eg. Can Gough and Bob Ross. PS I get why someone would put “abstract” in the title of a video like this even if he/she knows it’s not completely accurate. Just thought I’d share something interesting. Thanks for the video!
95% of modern abstract art isn't objective and they still call it abstract. Nowadays you can put a label on anything and claim for it to have sense even though it clearly doesn't. And the worst part is that you can't judge art anymore because someone somewhere will definitely disagree with you whatever you say, that's how blurry 'modern art' is.
I really love your every painting that you do 😊 pls continue to inspiring to others and Im one of your number 1 supporter and your my idol ☺️🤗 sending love and support your new friend from Philippines

I don't think some of you guys understand- Yes, spreading paint out is easy, but There's something more to this piece. Colour combinations, how they match, how they clash, how they compliment each other. Not just that, texture and how much of each colour there is on a painting. To people saying that anyone could do this, not everyone can match colours together well, not everyone knows when to stop mixing, and not everyone knows how to paint. If you can't pay attention to these details, then I doubt it when you say that anyone can do this and make it look good. Edit: also geez it's them just playing around with paints
I personally don't like these "abstract" paintings, it's just some colours, any combination can be good. They don't have a meaning neither are beautiful, this is just literally play with paint.

I still don't know how I feel about abstract art. It may look nice, but it is bo where near as talented as life artists, cartoon artists, pottery, etc.
'No where near as talented' I think I understand what you mean but the phrasing is a bit off. Just because it's abstract and it looks like it took little effort, doesn't mean it's any less than art more complicated
@@r.is4rae But because art is complicated and time consuming gives it more meaning and value, abstract is minimalistic and takes little to know time or effort so I can see how people wouldn't like it.
jinwi While I understand what you're saying, if you look back, many abstract pieces are more complicated than you'd think. Seeing people with body parts and facial features in a spot you wouldn't think they would be in for example. Some people don't understand that abstract isn't just a bunch of lines and colors.
Personally, as an artist myself, i find both difficult to pull of. I have a long way to go with my illustration and graphic design skills, and it does require a lot of practice and technicalities. While on abstract art, yes, perhaps some pieces may turn out organically/accidentally, but envisioning how you want the art to look on the paper or canvas is what's difficult for me. Like how does the artist's brain work for it to think/decide where this certain line should go, or what to color to use, or whether negative space is required. It's putting all those bits of pieces together, and would they fit or not is what's baffling for me in abstract art. :)
I love this and i actually tried to do this at school and i got the highest score and good thing i've watced this lastime or else i had no idea what to paint this video helped me alot super and i thank it because they made this kind of video love this❤
If I was to do that, I'd just end up with a canvas of entirely brown. Edit...after I commented I found out that every other comment said the same thing...I still ain't deleting it 😆🙃
Abstract art has always been criticized for not having structure or a distinctive image. I also used to be in that group of people but honestly now I believe art can be anything.
For the people who want to criticize videos like this, especially people for whom painting and creating art comes naturally; we forget there are millions out there who aren't and can be intimidated by paint and canvas, brushes and tools...I think this is a great way to introduce them to the medium and help them get a feel for it. For me, I just love watching paint being pushed around a canvas..
Fuck I'm in AP art in high school and this kind of painting is a release for me. Sometimes doing extravagant work is very stressful, so something like this is so fun and relaxing. Just let out all your trouble with a simple piece, you know? I love the carefree nature of abstract painting. Also I love when you see an abstract that's an aggressive release of anger or frustration: you can really see the artists feelings in the harsh strokes or splattered lines. And that type of abstracting is releasing as well.
I think one of the main reasons people dislike art like this is because the only real deep thing you can get from it is color choice. Past that it's a really easy thing to do and requires little to no skill. So yes, some consider it art, or like the colors chosen, but to the people confused why people dislike work like this is because modern abstract like this that takes literal minutes to make gets sold in galleries to snobby rich people for hundreds of thousands while artists who spend hours and days slaving away on illustrations and landscapes and real scenes don't get that level of recognition. Let this be relaxing, maybe a fun thing to do at home if you want just some colored canvas on your wall, but don't undermine what art is and the time and effort put into pieces that hardly get recognition by comparing this to works by Picasso or some of our greatest renaissance artists . Personally, not to offend anyone, I don't think of abstract on the level of mushed colors and some other modern art such as "literally just squares" or a "circle in the middle of a white canvas" as impressive simply due to the lack of time and skill poured into the work itself. I mean hell the video is literally labelled "playing with paints"
tbf ppl said the same kind of stuff about picasso when he first emerged haha. but no yea i agree w a fair amount of this. from what i can tell abstract art tends to fall into two categories: purely aesthetic and kinda intended for walls, or something incoherent the viewer is meant to find coherency in themselves (essentially make the viewer think about stuff differently, or allow the viewer to participate in the art in a different way). this one id say is certainly the former lol, especially since, as u were correct to point out, the video title is playing with paints
probably because sometimes theres more to art than just a display of technical draftsmanship, you have to remember abstract art emerged from the precursors of impressionism and post-impressionism all because of the invention of the camera (guy in the vid said hes just playing around with paints though haha) abstract realism, contemporary realism and abstract-representational art are a thing too, basically combining the best aspects of both types of art
I spend hours on work and spend loads of money on equipment but get next to nothing for my pieces. Don't think art is appreciated as much nowadays. Nevertheless, art is still a great way to help others relax.
If I try to do this then I would just end up with ............ something bad WHATEVER I DO IS A FAIL..so I'll just leave it to the prosss Edit: thanks for the likes! I went for an art program and got bored with the assigned image and decided to pant something abstract. It was stupid looking but my grandma said it looked like an audience waiting for a performance.
Pigloo yea same, it represents terror. it seems so be disturbing the silence that is shown in this piece. It totally flares me!! Everything seems to be harmonizing with each other, it is such a pleasure to look at the comforting flow of the colors, I can totally loose myself in those but then SUDDENLY... PURPLE APPEARS, whoosh my nightmares pop up!! It breaks through the canvas, no I didn’t like the purple that was added either PERIOD
But you're right, all colors except the purple can be seen a lot in nature, and the purple disturbs the image that has a calming effect on the eyes. Nothing deep, just the nature of our minds.
Yall seriously need to stop hating omg let the man do what he wants with his paints and create what he visions art to be. Everyone has different forms of art, some think its anime or realism, maybe even abstract! And within those art styles, there are even more forms that take place. Art is something we can express ourselves with. If you don’t like his videos, leave and stop hating on it. Why does it matter if it’s a waste of paint? Is it your paint? Who cares if he’s “wasting time”? You’re the one who is wasting time to watch his videos to hate on it. Stop saying it isn’t art. Art is an opinion and there isn’t a fixed definition of what it is. It’s just the what you think it is. Don’t be such a disrespecting person. + it says easy abstract, it isn’t suppose to be complicated and take months to create. Who knows? Maybe he’s saying a lot in one piece but y’all just don’t get it and that isn’t to blame on him. Just stop hating already.
I enjoyed watching this method of creating art. I'm very much a realist in how if see things and this isn't something that I would have tried or even thought to try myself. It's good to open yourself up to different techniques and to try and broaden your horizons. It has such a different, fresh feeling compared to traditional painting with a brush. People are too entrenched in their ideology about how things have to be, they need to look outside their box once in a while and see that there is a whole world out there that can enhance the little world they live in.
Personally, this painting reminds me of childhood. All the colors are so bright and how they're all placed and look reminds me of children going outside and playing. Youthful days.

People need to realize that art is art. Here's the definition of art: art1 ärt/ noun 1. the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. "the art of the Renaissance" synonyms:fine art, artwork "he studied art" 2. the various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music, literature, and dance. "the visual arts" No where does it say that it needs to be created a certain way or at a high level of skill. Something doesnt have to be an actual thing to be art. So...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's the general definition of art, it can refer to any form such as music and dance, as it says in the definition. The thing people are complaining about is that these paint smudges end up in museums for billions while fine arts arent appreciated now
This looks like something a sim would make and you just get a tad pissed because they spent two hours making something that should take less than 10 mins
They didn't make this for views or to see how good the painting is. They made it just because they were playing with paints. They were just messing around and they weren't making it as a picture.
I love this, Im personally not an abstract painter, or acrylic painter for that matter, but this looks so simple and relaxing. I'm in a bit of a "painting slum" right now so I think I will try this today in my studio, Thanks!
I actually really like this piece .... I like the colours and how messy and untidy it is and I like how sometimes the colours don’t blend properly so they almost look brown
nah.. But like can't you see that it kind of looks like there is a 'skater boy' on the left (dark blue is pants, purple his shirt and head and light blue his t-shirt) And on the right side a dancer (purple dress, dark blue legs, and the blue head an arm. Maybe I exaggerated a bit, but I definitly see some haha...
I see a blurred, dark blue person in the long strip of light blue near the centre. As well as girl in a pink dress with long hair by the right hand side, overlapping the light blue and yellow. Also, I can tell a yellow woman who looks like she’s leaning against a wall for support. getting Eliza Hamilton vibes (First Burn).
Because they just put paint and move the tool left to right and suddenly has 6 million views. It can be gorgeous but anyone could do it if they tried. Seriously ._.
Bcoz they r foolish people who don't even...love to see how beautifull the colours can look ....just spread anyway but really...this type of painting can only be done by an artist .....but then also practice can make anything perfect😍

In the center near the bottem, that dark blue stripe looks like a human standing in the light of the sky, coming through a window. The red, orange and yellow are pillars. The purple represents your vision going blurry. There had just been an earthquake, and you got hit in the head with a piece of concrete.
Noah R. Off topic, but is Victor your pfp?
@@qfuh8199 I see what you mean, I agree
Fun fact:
This is actually “non-objective” not “abstract” art.
Omg thank you! 90% of people don't really know this fact...

I don't think some of you guys understand-
Yes, spreading paint out is easy, but There's something more to this piece.

I think I understand what you mean but the phrasing is a bit off. Just because it's abstract and it looks like it took little effort, doesn't mean it's any less than art more complicated
@@r.is4rae But because art is complicated and time consuming gives it more meaning and value, abstract is minimalistic and takes little to know time or effort so I can see how people wouldn't like it.
jinwi
While I understand what you're saying, if you look back, many abstract pieces are more complicated than you'd think.

Beautiful abstract.. nice work

BriWolfie oh damn that was a long comment but very inspirational
tbf ppl said the same kind of stuff about picasso when he first emerged haha. but no yea i agree w a fair amount of this. from what i can tell abstract art tends to fall into two categories: purely aesthetic and kinda intended for walls, or something incoherent the viewer is meant to find coherency in themselves (essentially make the viewer think about stuff differently, or allow the viewer to participate in the art in a different way). this one id say is certainly the former lol, especially since, as u were correct to point out, the video title is playing with paints
probably because sometimes theres more to art than just a display of technical draftsmanship, you have to remember abstract art emerged from the precursors of impressionism and post-impressionism all because of the invention of the camera (guy in the vid said hes just playing around with paints though haha)
abstract realism, contemporary realism and abstract-representational art are a thing too, basically combining the best aspects of both types of art
I spend hours on work and spend loads of money on equipment but get next to nothing for my pieces. Don't think art is appreciated as much nowadays. Nevertheless, art is still a great way to help others relax.
The thing is who are we to decide what is and isnt art?
If I try to do this then I would just end up with ............ something bad

Who knows? I enjoyed watching this method of creating art. I'm very much a realist in how if see things and this isn't something that I would have tried or even thought to try myself. It's good to open yourself up to different techniques and to try and broaden your horizons. It has such a different, fresh feeling compared to traditional painting with a brush. People are too entrenched in their ideology about how things have to be, they need to look outside their box once in a while and see that there is a whole world out there that can enhance the little world they live in.

But like can't you see that it kind of looks like there is a 'skater boy' on the left (dark blue is pants, purple his shirt and head and light blue his t-shirt) And on the right side a dancer (purple dress, dark blue legs, and the blue head an arm. Maybe I exaggerated a bit, but I definitly see some haha...
i see voices
I see a blurred, dark blue person in the long strip of light blue near the centre.
As well as girl in a pink dress with long hair by the right hand side, overlapping the light blue and yellow.
Also, I can tell a yellow woman who looks like she’s leaning against a wall for support. getting Eliza Hamilton vibes (First Burn).
That first stroke, I feel like I just fell in love
Why does this have so many dislikes? Such a gorgeous painting.
Because they just put paint and move the tool left to right and suddenly has 6 million views. It can be gorgeous but anyone could do it if they tried. Seriously ._.
Bcoz they r foolish people who don't even...love to see how beautifull the colours can look ....just spread anyway but really...this type of painting can only be done by an artist .....but then also practice can make anything perfect😍
nah this type of painting can be done by anyone, dont need to be da vinci for this one, minimal patience required, not very much effort needed or knowledge of colour pallets. maybe someone will call it 'colour therapy', which also has its place...
@@clappersnap6795 The Mona Lisa is a result of pure talent and years of training, while this can be done by everyone who has played with paint for about 5 minutes. Read the title, he was just playing with colours, nothing special about that
Maddy Gowers My thoughts exactly.
The spectrum of your imagination is a rainbow to the world.
This video makes me want to paint landscapes in the French countryside.
@Sianeh Johnson No, I'm not in Jersey and neither is King George.
Forget brown my entire canvas and work station would be black
It's hard to mix a good black, so that would be nice too
Edgy
It somehow looked amazing and awesome and so pretty before u spilt that hue of pink in it
I agree
I personally thought that color brought the piece to another level, before it was just red/yellow and blue which made it remind me of fastfood places for some reason
To me the purple just makes it looks like their are people on the paint.. a skater dude on the left and a dancer on the right
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL !!
