These look super bright and colourful. I tend to just have work trousers where you're lucky if you get another choice apart from blue, black, or grey. Good stuff, appreciate the effort.

Came back to the 874 after trying the slim pants. Higher waist and fuller thigh pants in durable fabric and many color options are best for me. I also have the regular fit cargo in olive and they are awesome.

I honestly don’t like the 874s, I prefer regular straight fit dickies that have an actual button on them as well. but they are pretty dope and come in many cool colors like burgundy and white.

I used to buy these and cheap old navy khakis and pants like 10-15 years ago to cut into shorts because I couldn’t find slim longer shorts anywhere. They go great with vans authentic’s.

Definitely a pair I am interested in getting I have heard those exact same things but have yet to purchase said pant
I have the '67 in their slim fit. They have a button closure a red trimming on the zipper and the dickies logo on rear is black and white.
Great review dude and good choice with the 874, you wear them too short though, this is the OG pants, needs to be a bit more baggy and falling a bit more on the shoes. Also usually when ordering online i order 2 size up waste wise if i want to be able to zip them , im a tall skinny dude too. The quality of them is nice but not on par with the ones we were wearing back in the 80s and 90s, they have different factories with different sizings which vary with the different colours too, same with their long sleeve shirts as well unfo. Quality control is not what it used to .
Hey nice video I like the Dickies pants they have changed slightly. I used to get them at Army Navy store. Now Walmart but their not the same plus they run smaller. I’m in mechanic trade and they need washing every week.

The brown look awesome. They will soften up with wear/washes. The good thing about the 874 is like a blank canvas can be altered to any specific fit as long as the waist/rise is comfy.

I picked up the flex 874's but they were too wide. Ended up going with the slim taper flex. Material is a bit thinner and are still a bit wide but a lot smaller leg opening.
What are your thoughts on the Dickies 874 Flex?

Dickies does carry other slim fit/wide fit options I am not sure they are the same cut as the 874 though!
I can recommend the '67 slim fit. Not really too slim but not as full in the thigh, also the fabric is a bit softer from the start.

Hey! Just got these in the mail and they fit almost perfectly because I took my measurements prior. They’re just starched asf. Will washing these give them a softer fit? I don’t wanna ruin them. Or should I just wear them around the house to break them in?

@@manosmilonakis6056 hmm I would say go with your typical waist (36) keep in mind dickies sit a little bit above the waist. But in my experience I wear the same size in 501s as I do 874s. Order from Amazon and you can always return them free of charge

Is the sizing not accurate cause I saw some ratings in the dickies website that the sizing is small?
The tough part is everybody’s body is different so what fits for me might not fit for you in my experience if you know your waist size in your length you should be OK to get your true size in that size

I don’t own a pair of 873s but in my experience with 874s if you can find that perfect length then they shouldn’t be too baggy I hope that helps!
Hi there. I've had the 873. Honestly it is just a quarter inch slimmer in the thigh. Also, the zipper is a good 2 inches short and the rise is lower. I've learned that a higher waist fits me better, can always taper the 874 to your liking.

You can measure it with a tape measurer just guide the measurer down the pants

6:38 How do they feel before they break in? I grabbed some 874s that are true to my size and they feel a bit tight. Lifting my leg up gives some resistance and around my waist it doesn't feel as loose as I expected. I plan on using these for skating so I definitely want them to have a nice amount of give. Thanks.
They do feel a bit stiff at first but the more you wear them they do begin to loosen up. They don’t become buttery soft or anything but they do feel better over time

@@brent2004 you could go with either one but the original in my experience has a better fit obviously I have no idea what your body proportions are but if you know your measurements I say orignal
@@brent2004 flex offers more mobility in the fabric hence the flex some people think the original is a bit more stiff and takes more time to break in

@@sonnyhuynh007 if you look at reviews for the 874 the majority +50% say that there true size works for them. I went with my true size and they work for me perfectly. This is the tough thing about a sizing all of our bodies are slightly different so if going tts didn’t work for you I am sorry but now you know and you enjoy the pant you can always go a size or 2 up in the waist!

In hollister epic flex class straight chino pants are like dickies but hollister
Bewildered at how you fit comfortably in these pants. We're similar in body type. I'm six three with a long inseam and when I wear 874s properly they absolutley crush my crotch. When I size up, the waist basically floats around my hips and closure undoes itself even when I fasten with a belt. Any tips? Love the silloutte when I see them well-fitted.

Honestly bro I have always had super long legs (or so I think) and they just sit perfectly no tailoring at all
Get a smaller inseam
You can get the 872 or 873 as they are slimmer, but I prefer the baggy look
A nice 1/4 inch taper from the knee down and can dress up the 874 in the right colors
Do not get the Amazon ones, are they bootlegs or just rejects cause they'll pill up, break at the seem after a week, and frey badly. Just save for real ones tbh
