60+ mls of rain is great. Love watching you work the dogs & explaining it to us townies. Wouldn't normally comment, but seeing as how you brought it up ... IMO clean shaven is always best ... more hygienic.
Really enjoyed this video! A bit of everything in it. Interesting to see lambs grazed on crop, I always thought they just ate grass. I hope you get good lambs this year, all the best!
Usually work on 30-60 lambs / ha. If it’s warm and moist it’ll grow 60kgdm/ha/day and a lamb will eat 1-1.2kgdm. (Kilograms of Dry Matter) It’s just dependant on whether you want to nail it or set stock it.
Great spot you’ve got there mate!
Awesome work with your dogs mate
Thanks 👍

Thanks Jan,
The rain has definitely made a big difference! Looks the best just hard on the skin I think. Cheers for watching

Cheers! I crammed it all in in this video. Yes these crops have become very popular around here. Thanks, same to you!
Cross breeds will definitely smother old mate, and there’s nothing tougher than a merino wether
Oh yeah, bred to be hard to get that low micron wool haha.
@@HillCountryFarmer I’ve shorn Merino wethers that had been trapped in snow for 6 weeks, don’t try and tell me they are soft
Those o rings always leak, smear small amount of silicone on it and will seal ok
Okay cheers, yeah didn’t think it’d leak at all
Your crop looks good
Thanks, it would have been nice to get the fathen out of it. Was a little late on spraying it I think.
with the chicken drinker run a clear plastic tubing up the side plumb it into the bottom & boom water level gauge
Good idea! I might do that, Cheers
keep up the vids and happy new year cheers🍻
Will do, thanks and same to you!

How many Lbs (or kg) per acre (or hectare) for the chicory? Thanks!
Also seed rate on the kale? As a young farmer I appreciate the tip. Thanks!

Unsure on the seed rate for kale, I think you can look that up online.
Love all your videos you post
And I hope you got 1k of subs soon bro
Cheers! Thanks, not too far off!
So very close to 1k subscribers. You keep the camera too close to your face. You can use the GoPro at arms length.
