Does the manufacturer provide an option to turn off the blurring added to graphics, which is a hardware specification of the N64? Or are there any plans to do so in the future?
Haven’t updated mine yet. I hear that they broke CRT compatibility (the only way I play mine) and Also broke Neo Geo CD with the update. Have you tried either?
Seeing as how my purchase for the Polymega is finally coming after so long, I will probably just test what I'm currently getting before considering purchasing any additional modules. I did have my eye on the N64 module for some time, though cautiously. But I think I'll hold off for the time being given there is still room for improvement. It probably would've been better if it was emulating through RMG rather than just standard Mupen. Would be interesting seeing how Mario Tennis runs, since it isn't compatible with the tried and true classic N64 emulator: Project 64.
@@ArchadesGamesI agree 😂 Thankfully parrellel runs Pokémon Puzzle a hard game too run on older n64 emulators… a balanced buffering and its works great Pokémon stadium 2 which usually has graphics errors on most emulators runs nice on parrellel however there are still some errors while playing certain game modes and vs battles…
I haven't seen a Polymega video for a while. Despite it being a computer with preinstalled emulators. I love the clean design of this thing, along with those controllers, they should sell them on other sites, since they work with the original hardware. Just wish the Polymega was FPGA based.
Yep been looking for a great emulating console like this, but they killed me with that price for the base unit💀. The only thing I'm interested in for the base unit is the PS1. More into the NES and SNES and maybe N64.
@@ArchadesGames That's unfortunate when this is meant for a very different type of television technology than the original system was. Higher res rendering goes a long ways towards making N64 games look nice on a HDTV.
Nah I get it. And there are some really bad ones definitely. At least the Polymega has a couple of decent choices to work with in a pinch. I'm going to throw it into the CRT modes of the RT4K for the most fun though 😂
Oooof... Was expecting a lot more performance. The only thing going for this system is the ability of using the original controllers. I'd be interested to see the comparisons between original hardware and the polymega on some demanding 4 player split screen games. Polymega is overpriced underpowered junk.
Xbox Series X/S don't get access to Parallel so it is not able to run Battle for Naboo anywhere near this well. Angrylion on Xbox will provide similar results in most other games with some performance dips here and there. Glide won't look this authentic. It is very similar to an HDMI modded console.
I mean what’s the point of an expensive system like that not running optimally…
Thanks for the vid
I wanted a polymega but got a mister FPGA instead , the impossible N64 mister core is now almost 100% compatible
Always love the unboxing videos !
The unboxings love you 🤣
I made it til the end. Thx bro
Haha nice
Cool that it works but man the shipping time is very unfortunate

I forgot Polymega even existed.
i kinda want one 🫠
It does what it says it will do well enough. But for its current price and general unavailability so many better options exist.
@@ArchadesGames They messed up on them two things + not communicating with their customers🤦♀️
@@ArchadesGames What are some of those other options?
Mister N64 core if you have one of those. PC emulation with a cheap cart adapter to use real carts/saves. An actual N64 and RetroTink 2X

You just have to set system speed to fast for Neo Geo
I can't play my Double Dragon Neo Geo CD game on the polymega. Doesn't recognize it.

Mupen 64 Plus with Parallel is one of the best ways to emulate N64. Project 64 is a relic that needs to be left in the past 🤣

What about Mario Tennis? that game usually have graphical glitches on emulators.
Have you used the polymega with the retrotink4k yet? I am curious if they pair well together, hope to own both sometime in 2024.
This was recorded through the RT4K actually. I need to experiment with the CRT filters still😁

Amazon would be a good one to sell to and maybe even GameStop
Did you update the cpu inside the polymega or is the original one?
This video uses the original CPU
I can't get Duke Nukem Zero Hour or Hexen 64 to play!
Both work for me. My personal incompatibility list after installing 240 games is Charlie Blast, cruisn USA revision B and Robotron 64.
I always wanted the polymega, but that price...😵💫
Yup, not worth it these days.

Do you need the original carts for it of can you rip um off internet?
You need real carts
Real carts or discs.
Ok I can but Pokémon stadium and 2 thanks for vid and find this somewhere
Cool. Is it impossible to play in HD?
Polymega is designed to be a 1:1 representation of the original system not an unpressed emu box.

That's what the filters are for
@@ArchadesGames I'm personally not fond of artificial scan lines and such, but it's still an excellent point that you raise.

How in God's name did Game Boy and Game Boy Color play on Polymega?
It's an N64 cart using GBC emulation for the system.

Is this better than the series s / x?
In game compatibility absolutely yes
But I suggest to wait the upcoming fpa n64 core .
@@cooparchive7857is it better then a hdmi modded n64 graphics wise ?

That's a bueat Jare.
It's been interesting to mess with!
👍🏿😅

Yeah, been pretty great after day one troubles past lol
Overpriced
Once upon a time it was better priced 🙃
Mister isn't priced much better but can definitely do a lot more!
