This video is a resource for Polymega owners who might be interested in this process. I have no interest in your shitty takes about mister and raspberry pi. Guess what, a good emulation PC is better than all three of these options so I don't care if you hate Polymega/mister/raspberry pi.
My PC can play N64 better than Mister so not the best but a great option. Polymega with a CPU upgrade can also play N64 better than a mister with no incompatible memory stricken games. So how exactly was it better?
I finally got mine yesterday and I've noticed a 1 second lag respond when I press a button with the default wireless controllers. It's really frustrating especially with Mega Man. However if you plug the controller the lag respond is now .3/.4 ishh second. Good improvement but it's still not one on one. By changing the CPU do you think it would fix this issue?

As someone that worked on Polymega and put a bunch together - having the CPU upgradeable was 100% apart of the design. Great video!
This is a fantastic video showing how to improve the N64 performance. Definitely going to attempt this after seeing this. Thanks man!
So basically the CPU it should have shipped with.......
It should have shipped with the Pentium 5600t at the minimum
Good morning Naboo !
I thought this would have to be soddered, having the CPU being drop and play is great!
Definitely makes it an easy process to recommend for anyone wanting to get the most out of the system
Will this make PS1 games load faster overall? Like reduce loading times throughout the game?
No, they load at a set speed. This helps with performance issues on demanding titles.
@ArchadesGames ah okay thanks
Does 9th generation like i9 9900t not work? Did someone tried it?
I cannot imagine spending all that money for this thing for its adapters and controllers.... AND then pay more for a new cpu
You don't have to pay more for it if you don't want it. Performance is fine for 98% of the systems compatible games.
That's why fpga still best way to play 5th gen and Older and now has n64 and sega saturn cores !

@@ArchadesGames you just need to wait because n64 core at beta phase.
The N64 mister core has already been discontinued because of the memory issue.

The USB ports are slower to respond than the element module controller ports. I haven't noticed a difference in that behavior after doing the swap.
@@ArchadesGames Unfortunately that's what I thought. Thanks for the quick feedback very nice of you.
sorry I cant fine i7 in my country buy I found the I5 it's smooth too? with that cpu? or still i need the i7?
The i5 is excellent
@@ArchadesGames Thanks for the replay I will buy it then 💪🥰
