Thanks Rahul, In cash cow the market share is high, while the market growth rate is low. In that way, Lux can be said to be a Cash Cow for Hindustan Unilever Ltd. In case of Dairy Milk, Cadbury being a market leader, has been trying to provide an alternative to Sweets in Indian Market. That has led to experience good growth in Indian Market. So, as the market share is high, it can only be Star or a Cash Cow. Generally in the Cash Cow category, we undertake the products, which may be maturing. But in the case of Cadbury, Dairy Milk is on a growth path, but the growth rate is not too high. In that way, I will put Cadbury Dairy Milk in a category between Star and a Cash Cow. But technically , you may count it under Cash Cow.

Sir..can I use cadbury dairy milk as cash cow example..
Thanks Rahul, In cash cow the market share is high, while the market growth rate is low. In that way, Lux can be said to be a Cash Cow for Hindustan Unilever Ltd. In case of Dairy Milk, Cadbury being a market leader, has been trying to provide an alternative to Sweets in Indian Market. That has led to experience good growth in Indian Market. So, as the market share is high, it can only be Star or a Cash Cow. Generally in the Cash Cow category, we undertake the products, which may be maturing. But in the case of Cadbury, Dairy Milk is on a growth path, but the growth rate is not too high. In that way, I will put Cadbury Dairy Milk in a category between Star and a Cash Cow. But technically , you may count it under Cash Cow.
