If landlord is one person and there is no rental portal, I pay by transfer to a bank, my only option is to ask landlord if he agrees to receive checks from Bilt??
@Phillpak will this work if I want to pay rent internationally? Is the app compatible to select different countries or only US? Bilt mentions the ability to use the card internationally with no foreign transaction fees. Just curious about paying rent with it to accrue points!
In the option 2, when they asking for address we should input our own address right? Since I heard some videos around saying we should input “bilt address” which i am not sure where it was

This exact thing happened to me as well! You want to make sure you turn off BILT protect and it will go through. For some reason you can’t use the BILT protect feature when venmoing
With Bilt Protection, are you allowed to pay rent that’s higher than your card balance? I.E. My current rent is $3,000. My card balance is $4,000, but my new apartment rent is $4500. Would it matter much since they are just taking the money from my checking account?
Hi thanks for the info, The property we live in the mortgage is in my spouses name, do you think I can pay the mortgage from my bilt card or does the name on the rent/mortgage has to be same as the bilt account holder? Also if thats no possible can I pay rent to my spouse and have her pay me back (or is that not advisable for tax purposes) thanks

Thanks so much for the kind words!! Nope, all you have to do is put in the information there. Tell your landlord the check is coming to their mail, once they cash it in, get your points and repeat!
NOPE! I wish, I contacted Bilt around two years ago to ask about mortgage payments and they said “we are considering adding mortgage payments also” I guess they changed their mind ;’( Unless something changed now in 2024

When you pay rent by check, is there an option to set up a recurring payments, so it automatically pays on the first of the month thereafter?
Yeah! Just toggle on autopay and select the amount you’d like to autopay. You can also select the exact date you’d like it to be sent!
Can I use bilt to have the rent payment taken out of my capital one venture card and still not pay any fees?

Great video! If you're doing the BILT for venmo rent payments, do you still need to make the 5 transactions per statement period?
Yep! You need 4 more payments to get the 1 point/dollar spent

I don’t see the pay rent online section. I only see “make a payment” under the page rent tab
I recommend calling the number on the back of your card. BILT support is pretty on top of it

Unfortunately no, they are working on it though!
BILT app worked fine for 2 months. App stopped allowing payment for rent. 😡
