Ender dragons are BRUTAL in the overworld. they don't know where to go so they just spin and destroy and eventually they just sit at or below bedrock and scream forever

If my kid was strong enough that he managed to break a pickaxe, and he asked me for another pickaxe, HE'S GETTING ANOTHER PICKAXE.
The witches aren't hugely dangerous, but they're pretty tanky for being unarmored: they can only throw those potions at you (I don't remember what effects), which aren't worthless attacks, though.
Just keep hitting them with whatever you've that makes the most DPS (which makes axes fairly bad cuz they're slow), and try to use cover to avoid as many potions as you can.
