      I’m going to rephrase your question to “in what circumstances do patients not have capacity”? Can you think of any examples? :)

      @@TheAspiringMedics When they are potentially under the influence of drugs and alcohol or they have some sort of neurodegenerative condition that prevents verbal consent. They could be in coma as well perhaps.

      @@TheAspiringMedicswhat would happen if they say they don’t want treatment but they do have capacity, however them not receiving treatment puts them at risk of infecting others
