I'll be starting my five days of nights for ICU. Getting good advice from my peers and teaching myself ahead. Main goal for me is to keep the ship afloat.
What dictation machine is that? I enjoy following your journey. You’re sooo intelligent. So do you feel NP school and practicing as a NP gave you an advantage for med school and residency? I can’t wait to start preparing and taking classes for the MCAT. Im waiting for my toddler the start Pre-K first.
Thanks Keisha. Yes, being an NP helped in the clinical years of medical school because I was already experienced at patient interaction, history taking and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Being an NP didn’t help me much in my first 2 years of medical school since the focus was basic sciences. But in the end it all worked out well. PS: the Dictation software is “Fluency” it sure makes for quick and efficient documentation.
More grace Doc
