  • This video is about the history of the Khan Memorial Clock Tower, in Pettah, Colombo, and about the contributions made by the Parsi 'Khan' family to the people of Sri Lanka (formerly, British Ceylon). I have also shared details about the history of Parsis in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka is full of rich history, different cultures from different parts of the world. I just wish the people living there can appreciate each other and live in harmony instead of creating war over religions.

Such an interesting video. You have always been interested in the history of Sri Lankan minorities and as an individual of mixed heritage, you are the ideal person to talk about it. I am sure your ancestors will be very proud to see you share their heritage and raise awareness about their communities. Looking forward to seeing your future. Take care and God bless you.

Jaferjee Brothers, are they of Parsee origin ?
Parsees, we associated with some in our childhood. Lovely people. We found them to be kind and nice, peaceful. 😍

Thank you very much for very interesting video about recent history of Sri Lanka. Zoroastrian religion is one of the very old religion originated in then Persia now Iran. Like Jew people this community too prospered in becoming rich by trading & spread around most parts of the world. I did not know that Choksy was of that origin. Theruwan Saranai
