We should not start it empty,batter(grains) should be there.It can be used half an hour continuously,but it get heated,so while grinding take care that it has enough water and water should ne cold or normal

When I grind my pulses in the mixer grinder, I do not let even a single pulse go to waste. I take out all the pulses. Lastly, I run the mixer lightly for 2 seconds and take out all the lentils.
Bhupesh ji,It is up to you, because if you want to grind Wheat and Bajra smooth then you need Jali size 1 for both the grains,or if you want wheat medium size then you have to change the Jali size 1.5,but you need to remove the drum and empty the first grain before you grind the other one otherwise they will be mixed. So 1.You need to replace the Jali/Blade according to the thickness or according to the grain 2. You need to empty the first grain before grinding the other one

I pulse it a few times, and grind on a mortar. Repeatedly sieving and grinding, I can get a very fine powder. But I'm sick of doing it by hand. I'm thinking of getting this, running for half hour before sieving, should theoretically get me a finer powder than with a coffee grinder. PS: why do I want such a fine powder? It's not food. But I don't see why I can't use kitchen tools. Lab grade equipment is overpriced!
Both r different devices....this is only 175watts...and runs for half an hour.....where as mixer grinders comes from 600 watt to 1000 watts and typical uses lasts for one to five mints. Mixer grinder will become hot for prolonged use whereas wet grinder u can use continuously.....batter will become fluffy in wet grinder
To make Puran for Puran poli,we need aata type consistency,but in wet grinder we have to add water to grind it,so it can be used to make paste of chana daal but of pouring consistency ,so you need to take that chana daal paste and add jaggery and cook it again on gas stove.You can't grind chana daal with jaggery in it.

you are right, its heavy......but if you compare sone weight with other companies, its lightest.....in the latest model i have seen on net they have introduced one cleaning blade....after grinding you may add that which will clean stone....check you may purchase that.

No no not at all. For remiving batter you have to open it, take out butter fly grinder and then the batter is available in drum.u may store it in the same or take out easily in another container
Models without the cross arm, there is a ... erm ... stick coming up the middle. I worry the container may leak. But with cross arm, there are all these filmsy linkages, possibly with safety/sensors ... more parts to fail. I'm thinking of getting the Laksmi one (no cross arm) because it is cheaper. And I'm not in India, so so many models not available.
Hi. For best results, use 1 cup whole urad without the black coat(urad gota) : 4 cups idli rice/par boiled rice. Add a spoon of methi seeds while soaking. You can make both idli and dosa with this.

No,this has a steady and constant speed and while grinding you have to add water because it makes the batter fluffy and corase.We have to take care that batter did not become much thicker

2 litres waala stones bahut heavy hota hai. How heavy are 1.25 litre grinding stones.
