I can tell you my story with SMCI. I took a position on 24 Mar 2023. Within a short period of time I realized that the stock was shooting up. The decision I made at that time was to stay invested but not invest anything more. As you can see, it was an 8 bagger since then. The stock was becoming so expensive that I sold may be about 35 - 40% (of the total value of the stock) as of last week. I felt much better after selling. There is still a substantial portion in SMCI and I probably will leave it for a long time. The interesting thing I heard about SMCI is that the CEOs of SMCI and Nvidia have been working together since a very long time. I believe that AI hype is true, and as long as Nvidia is there, SMCI will probably stay. You generally see a trend where if Nvidia goes up SMCI goes up too. Getting into SMCI at this stage could be very risky but in situations such as this (if I didn't invest yet) I take a small position with an assumption that I could lose 50% of my money. Then I slowly add depending on the performance.
