Same thing happened to Skull Town. 5+ squads every game for months and then everyone started to slow down and spread out more. Now that people are getting familiar with Capital City they're not landing there as often, and they also have learned new unmarked drop options near the city. Hell, I've seen teams land in 1 building, loot it, then just beeline out of the city to avoid the mess.

Plat 4 here, yea capitol city is hardly busy anymore, people tend to drop at the edges of the map thinking its less crowded but jokes on them, those drops end up being really crowded cuz everyones else is also doing the same.
Refinery is a pretty popular drop now and it’s close to Epicenter too. I dropped there nearly every game until Platinum. Lava Fissure, Leaf, and Dome are also good drops
I don’t think many people land in capital in ranked it usually be popular in pubs cause most people in ranked want to win instead of dying straight off the start

I'm in diamond and it seems like people like going to skyhook or somewhere along the outer edges of the map. The tall leaf tree spot is popular too for a start out.

I think in ranked, people tend to head for the outer areas where there are fewer teams. Try landing at Overlook, Train Yard or Sorting Factory there's always a scrap in those places.

In the plat- diamond lobbies. Capitol is almost always hot. Usually 3-4 teams that land there
I just got my first ever 10 kill match and also won. Thank you itemp your videos always are amazing to watch helpful and make learning strategies easy and fun. Using Octane the souct and flatline I won against the last squad even when I lost my other squad members all cause you helped me remember high ground and seeing you being so accurate made me actually land a few shots and beam a few people

I’m plat right now, and capitol city is usually pretty popular when I land there. I’ve stopped landing at construction (the building you usually land at) because all the other teams like cycle there from other places in capitol city to the point where I’ll end up fighting 3 or four teams in a row cause they manage to not run into each other before getting to us. Which makes life difficult lol
