I remember when there was a time that if you found a cheeky rat spot it was cool. Like the on vents in the tunnels on World's Edge. But now this completely ruins it.
Since seer come out all little spot and detail lose sense
If they want to make a ranked system where survival is important, then give players bonus points for having the whole team alive so people are encouraged to play with the team.
So... Rat team?
Uh. only one team can emerge alive.
Or as punch said, make the first storms more aggressive (close faster, do more damage). Harder to rat and/or camp if you have to be more often on the move.
I like the idea and the new system, it just was executed poorly and needs tweaking.

idk why they changed anything. The system was pretty good from season like 2-11

I feel like every time they change it it always ends up worse
Because people keep complaining about ranked every season. And those people just complain a simple word “too hard”, those complaining can’t come up with solution so Respawn have to find something to solve “too hard” thing and came up with “too easy” instead. No matter how they change people just gonna complain.
Well the. Let’s go back to the original ranked system then
It's because Respawn's priority is engagement and player retention, and they've found that the *majority* of players like seeing their rank go up even if it means ratting. So they will always prioritize what keeps players coming back and spending money over what is actually fun and fair.

This season isnt fair for everyone, I mean I know im not that good player but impossible to climb up without getting at least 6 kills in a game and fight to top 10. Ranked games lasts for like 30min minimum because of these rats

Ranked system was always the same even the old ranked system we had rat players. Stop complaining & play more aggressive.

Finish 8th with 3 kills and 8 assists = 25 ladder points. Finish 3rd with 0 kills and 0 assists = 100 points. Very bad system is bad.
I made it to Diamond playing aggressively (but smart). Whenever I run into any rats I just keep shooting them in their trees, corners, hiding spots, etc. They only make the rest of us that actually play the game look bad.

Ranked system is god awful now, I have no drive to grind ranked anymore
the heat shield holding was because he alt tabbed and probably has survival items on alt

The worst part - people will get high ranked unworthy. They are tricking themselves and gain nothing. But that's the game fault that's is for sure.

Nah this ranked version is actually good. You get to actually play a game mode like ranked instead of Pubs 2. If you want pubs, play pubs. I'm happy to have a different kind of BR experience finally after 3 years of the same game. Really the only thing that needs adjustment is making losing before top 10 more punishing so that it's not as easy to climb.

But rat gameplay was always around. Its not like THIS SEASON enabled it. And further you go the more people engage in actually playing it.
