I tried this was sooooo goood thank you so much .. my friend kept buying store flan and eating it everyday so I told here I would make her one (she has never had a homemade one ) she absolutely loved it
Flan is one of my favorite desserts and I love coconut. I am trying this tonight in my celebration of my graduation. Thank You! Your channel is AMAZING🤗
I tried your recipe it came out delicious note i cooked one in metal and the other glass metal on point with cooking time glass needs a litttle more time i added 30 minutes both came out scrumtious ty
It looks awsome but I personally think it will be way too sweet with 2 cans of condensed milk...I will substitute one of those with evaporated milk, and I usually add 1/4 teaspoon salt to balance flavors...Thank you for sharing your recipes!❣️
@@Suexoxo awesome. I’m going to try your recipe today !but I found coconut condensed milk at Walmart for a dairy free version so I’ll be using that instead I also bought the same pan. I can’t wait it’ll be my first time making flan 🍮 ( my bro always made it ). 😋. I’ll experiment with the other sugars after Christmas lol
I’m currently making this recipe. I’m doing it EXACTLY the way you did. But my flan has been in the oven, going on 3 hours, and it’s still practically in liquid form. What am I doing wrong? I’m gonna see it through and hope for the best, but it’s never taken me this long to make a flan. Actually, the only difference is I am using sweetened condensed coconut milk. So I don’t know if maybe that has something to do with it? Maybe the lack of dairy is making it take three times as long? Help!
That was a complete fail. After almost 6 hours of trying to salvage this flan, I gave up. It was well done on the surface and complete liquid underneath.
I could think of. I dont like to make it with the sweetened coconut milk, i think i said it in the video. However, that was a long time, over 3hours? uhm weird. even when I make it with the condense milk, did not take over 2hrs to fully cook. Another thing, how deep is your pan? maybe also take a look at that. please let me know how you did :)
@@Suexoxo Thank you for responding. The pan I used is pretty deep. It’s 3 inches deep, I believe. I’ll definitely try to make this again. I think I’ll just use regular condensed milk, like you do. I’ve given up on the coconut condensed milk.
if u cant find the savoy (usually they have it at asian markets) u can just use reg. coconut milk, that is only for extra creaminess, but it will be great with just the coxonut milk. I hope you like it 😘
Depending on your oven, sometimes you must leave more time. If it doesnt cook fully, leave it for 15-20 more minutes. Insert a knife, and it must come out clean, if it doesnt, leave more time. I hope this helps. Dont get discouraged, its delicious. 😘😘

a pinch of salt does wonders for the sweetness but it's delicious
Thank you for the recipe I just not going to use Goya coconut milk it’s only 50% coconut but everything else is great
😊
Anyone ever use coconut sugar for coating the pan or perhaps briefly heating up maple syrup instead ? Hmm I should test it out one day
I never tried it, but its a great idea. i will definately try it, thanks 🥰😘

Btw do you think it’ll be fine to use only 1 can of coconut condensed milk with 2 cans of coconut milk (with rest of ingredients also) ?
Isn't it so sweet with 2 cans of condensed milk? Thanks
Literalmente es un postre... los postres son dulces y aunque es postre no es exageradamente dulce. Ademas es un pedasito que uno se come.
Does it come out the oven a bit giggly ?
a tiny bit. As long as u put a lil knife and it comes out clean, u should be good. I recomend leave in the refrigerator over night.
