@@theparkjunkie Oh yeah did some whooping it up at Sturgis a few years ago well a lot of years ago had a great time but my bike and days are over! But I loved it! I’m loving your chores and I’m happy to be along for the ride.
Dude.. i love your productions..hang in there.. everyone you meet in yellowstone..give them your you tube..you should have millions of subscribers..people love real channels...thanks for sharing
My wife and I visited Yellowstone National Park and IMMEDIATELY feel in love with it. Starting following your page after the flooding and I'm impressed with your production and your enthusiasm. Thank-you very much for sharing the park with all of us.
I got to visit Yellowstone this past Sunday. It’s awesome to see the spots I didn’t get the chance to stop at. Just too much to see in one day. Thank you for such informative videos.
It’s wierd to watch this after being there yesterday. Now everything looks so familiar. You are definitely in your element doing these videos. Great job!!
I worked in the park in 85 at Mammoth, 91 at Old Faithful, and 95 in Grant Village. I need to get back there. But I do not drive. So it will be on my bicycle. Maybe August, depends on the roads I guess. Thank you for this quick tour. The Norris Geyser basin is my favorite place. Stay safe.
Your YNP videos help me overcome my sadness for not being there this summer. I was one of the fortunate to be employed in this fabulous park last summer in Lake Village. I SURE miss it and the Huckleberry margaritas at Lake Hotel!
Wow it’s so nice to see Yellowstone through your tours ! It’s really helps those of us that can’t make it out there ! So thanks and keep the videos coming!
Linda, I definitely agree! Todd I just tuned in to your videos when Yellowstone had the huge monsoon rains and am loving watching them! Keep 'em comin'!!! 🤗🤗
Oh my goodness, I am sure enjoying all of your tours of the park. We were there last September, and watching your fabulous productions makes me want to come back. Thank you!
Your video makes me miss Yellowstone. I visited one time in 2016, spending 3 days between Old Faithful area and Canyon Village and 1 day on the North Loop. I definitely missed a few you hit but found some others too. Time to go back!
I really enjoyed going on your ride today on the Southern Loop. It brought back many fond memories of my trips to Yellowstone. What a magical place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video and birthday present. Ha. Looking forward to our trip in September. Maybe we will see you there. Thanks so much for the excellent tour. Love the cascades.
We had our grandson from Illinois (we live in Colo) & the day we left (didn't know it yet) all hell broke loose. Left going thru Cody. He wanted to go to Mommoth Hot Springs, good thing we avoided that area. Like your filming/music.
Love this little tour. We've been there three times but still haven't seen everything. Never have gotten to the falls but they're on the agenda for when we next get back.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I have never been to Yellowstone, and it is amazing. Thank you for the beautiful tour. I live close to the Smokies, and the west is NOTHING like east, it is amazing and really beautiful.
I live in western NC, not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the GSMNP. In 2019 I took a long trip to the Canadian Rockies and Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton NPs. I have to say all of those areas dwarf the Smokies and the BRP.
What I liked about your video since I have seen a number of Yellowstone TH-cam videos by people who visit the park for one or two days, but don't really understand the complexity and depth of Yellowstone. You provide a much more in depth view of Yellowstone. Thanks.
A tip I learned is if you’re going to visit Grand Prismatic spring, do not go to the main site. Go to the trailhead just after (if coming from the west entrance) then take the trail to the top to get an amazing overview of the springs.
Thank you for the great and informative video. I’ll be heading there soon, so this was really helpful. I also got that One More Saturday Night reference. 🎶❤️
Thank you for the insider look at the southern loop. What a blessing to be working in the park. Work over? Your time off is in Yellowstone. Loved the skies along with the geysers rivers and thermal features. 🙌
Great video! Thanks. I live in Bozeman so I consider the Park my backyard. So fortunate. Do yourself a favor and visit the Virginia Cascades. Never have I experienced such a calming sound - especially in the late summer when water levels are down. Well worth the effort to get to the bottom.
I live in So Cal and am more limited in hiking.. I do have some videos of the national parks and state parks through a program but your video narrative is fantastic! I feel like I’m there visiting. I feel like I’m taking a vacation:) and your personality is fabulous so keep doing your talks because they’re quite enjoyable for me and I’m sure for others as well!
Todd I do enjoy your videos This one was great your videography was excellent and enjoy your choice of travel music (jazz lover.} Thanks again for sharing your adventures they are great, Wish I could join you!
so cool man I am from cooke city I work at bear tooth cafe I enjoy your videos man yellowstone is amazing come visit us at Cooke City take care and stay safe
Love your updates. You are a natural. We are scheduled to come to Yellowstone in August. This is a trip that has been cancelled twice. Seeing the updates gives me hope.
Thanks for the ride Todd! It made Me homesick though, every inch of road and view in Yellowstone I have done many times on my photography trips, much of it multiple times a day chasing the perfect light or tips on wildlife sightings. Crowds notwithstanding, Yellowstone never fails to deliver amazement, wonder, and jaw dropping beauty.
Wow, you sure picked a nice day for the tour--and all that green, green grass, beautiful! "Bison Jam", ha! I think I've experienced at least one every time I've been to Yellowstone. Seeing those empty parking spots, it appears the odd/even plate thing seems to be keeping the crowds down a bit. I understand the policy might mess up plans for some but fewer people in the park is a good thing.
Been following your channel since the park closure last week. Your videos are well edited and informative. What an experience it must be working in Yellowstone! I am spending the summer in Jackson, WY and plan to visit Yellowstone next weekend!
Hi PJ!!! Can you please do a video on your set up? Like what rv are you traveling in, how to do haul you bike and motorcycle, etc? We would love to hear your story. Thanks and enjoying your content.
The fishing has returned too. My beloved trout have done ok. I'm sure a lot of the small ones got pushed downstream somewhere, but trout bounce back. Still, theyre catching them pretty decently. I'll be there the first week of August. This trip will be different for me. Normally I camp outside Yellowstone seldom going into the park itself. This year I planned on 3 days in the park. So it looks like two days in the park and the middle day when I cannot enter due to my plate # I'll be exploring the towns of west Yellowstone and Jackson. I'm even planning on a motel stay for a day up in cooke city.
@@shill3282 looks interesting thanks for the tip. Normally I fish the Clarks fork, Shoshone and a few others east. Clarks fork being my all time favorite. Sadly this year I had planned on fishing the upper rock creek. Not this year.
Man, I've had bison give be the stink eye a couple of feet from me (while I'm in a car), what do you do when you're on a bike? Crowds aren't as bad as I thought they'd be, but there are still like 5 to 10 times the number of people I run into after labor day. The bacteria mats in the Upper Geyser basin are a lot more colorful than the ones around Prismatic. Nice tour. You pretty much show why you need several days in the park just to explore the sights along the loop road. And that's just the loop road... Just some trivia, the canyon is where the park gets its name. The Minnetaree Indians called this place "Mitsia-Dazi", and the French Explorers called it "Roche Jaune". Both translate losely to Yellow Rock River. It was the Americans that gave it it's final name of "Yallerstone", lol... Yeah, everyone should do the Brink of the Upper Falls, very easy access. I've often been tempted to go down to the brink of the lower falls. I don't think the 500' going down would be bad, but it'd probably kill me trying to get back up. They need to install escalators. 😁
Thanks for the great tour of the south loop. I’ll be heading to Yellowstone on a bike trip in late September. Any issues with wildlife when traversing Yellowstone on a bike?
You always need to keep your head on a swivel as the most plentiful animal in the park is bison/ buffalo. If you approach a bison jamb , watch their body language. One sign is they will swing their head left to right and back and forth when agitated. If you can use a vehicle next to you for a barrier, do so. You can always turn around and peddle a safe distance away and wait until the road clears.
Thank you so much for putting this sample of the south loop tour together. Your videography is phenomenal and narration is awesome! You invited questions and I have one. You mentioned early on in the video that the north section is expected to open in a few weeks, do you know if that will be full access or limited (odd even plate numbers) access? Thanks again. Nice bike by the way, and ride safe!
I cannot answer your question with any sense of authority, but I would imagine they’ll keep the plate system in place, at least for a little while longer. But that’s just a guess from my limited knowledge. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. I will be heading to Yellowstone mid August. Quick question I didn’t see any encounters with animals. When I visited in the past we had always have to pull over when bison cross the street. I will be riding my Vespa and was curious how scary it is to be on a motorcycle with the bison in the road.
in one of your earlier video you said that you tended bar in the park . we'll be in the park in about 4 weeks. would love to stop by the bar and say hi let me know were it is located

Just be ready to RIDEHARD!!!
You’ll be fine… & as S Hill suggested, a vehicular buffer is always a bonus.
Awesome! We will be there on the 6th. What camera are you using? I need one or a phone upgrade before we come.
Just using an iPhone 12 pro max… Some of the new phone cameras are legit!

Great video thank you so much! I was wondering if there is a place to swim in the park?
Well, the park doesn’t advise it, but there are options for swimming in the Firehole River. Most of the park’s water is downright frigid…
