Esprit Marching Band - Grade 3
The tender One Last Shot provides the emotionally charged musical climax to the movie and is beautifully orchestrated by Michael Brown and Will Rapp. This production is then brought to a suitably rousing finish with the energetic He's a Pirate. Very effective writing for the field!

2006 Graduate.
Played this for our 2005 year. I loved these quad parts so much. Makes me miss drumline even more.
My favorite halftime show ever!
Seems like more and more of us “Adults” are finally getting to a point in our lives where it’s not a constant fight for survival so we are all coming back to the arts :) I’m back after 12 years away too
Word, I was just a smurf then, but that show was epic, but the memories were legendary.
@@scoochmccgrooter5676 Scotty Doesn’t Know is that you?!?
@@TheCleaverNoDQ the one and only 👍
When you're a trombone player and you're literally playing Hot Cross Buns
Casey Hernandez not really
Braddy Wakler 2:31
When you play Euphonium and are put onto baritone, an optional part
Is that true I play(ed) clarinet and in pit on this piece
I wish our trombone players would play hot cross buns loud and proud 🥲🥲
I remember marching a similar arrangement for the entirety of Curse of the Black Pearl in my Sophomore year of high school, so that would be the fall of 2004. It was loads of fun.
Very nice
Pirates of the Caribbean is the theme of our show this year! Can't wait!
same. i go to lake region.
I wish we did this for are show especially with the theme being Disney
I'm loving that Baritone part!!!
I know it's so cool! That's my part in my marching band 😍
This is absolutely beautiful
The melody at 2:04 is amazing!
First year of marching and this set is so fun.
such a beautiful song. luv it very much!
I play clarinet, but im living for the quads part
Oh my gosh same! I play clarinet but the marching clarinet is not always super important or fun. I'm joining drum line next season
I played clarinet but quads are my favorite sound!
@@isabellea7913 I am clarinet player. I agree with u
i play quadss
Johny B bruh same, this part slaps. Easy, yet it bops
This song gets you very mixed emotions at the beginning. The French Horn is the main part at the beginning. Love it
No its not, it's trombone and trumpet
+Angela hulway I'm going to havr to respectfully disagree... It's a combo of all 3 😁
+Jaden Gerber Agreed...
No I think it's the bassoon
Webby The Dino basso. doesn't march...
I played this as field show and i loved it.
Someone here on 2020 because of the quarantine?
-June 9th, 2020-
2:04 is just beautiful
I think you mean the scales at 2:30
This is a good piece. We should play this in my band
When your band director tells you to warmup
When you are one of the only two flutes in the whole band😳
Uh yikes! 😬
Yikes! I’m not a flute player but that’d be tough! Ours has like 14 or 15
Don’t worry ours has like 4 and with the section in one of the parts I believe this one it’s hard
Played this my freshman year of highschool and I remember the music perfectly
you must have photo graphic memory cus this s#!t hard
Yes bring back the memories of DCUK 2015 when we won A Class :)) that I will never Forget
James Waller what is dcuk

love the perc. soli
I may be late but I’m crying
awesome
I wish my marching band could play this in our show. I'm a quad player and that looks fun
It is really fun, also you should take a look a Night watch and Invincible, Invincible you love the most in movement 3
@@kathall4034 ok
@@kathall4034 could you send me the link
you should do Jedi Temple March
very good song
Melophone squad where you at?
RIGHT HERE!!
I have heard no less than 23 marching band shows with this since it was released. Approximately 19 of which were in KMEA land, in the same season. Still love to hear it, but the shows are getting old.

Eu essa Musica 2 Trompete 🎺 Muito boa
Oh top cté partition je la pique pour notre bandas
1:32 rowBaritone tromBone cool
It's tame for a Brown.
For the most part the drumline part sounds like it was written for 2nd year concert band drummers
Well, it was written for younger and smaller band programs, so...
I think someone should make this for a more advanced drumline and band
@@WalterDeansney this has been arranged a bazillion times, so I'm sure there are a bunch of more advanced versions.
Russ McCollum There are actually no Pirates of the Caribbean shows for medium difficulty with a much harder drumline part
@@WalterDeansney you won't find a stock arrangement like that because there aren't enough bands that are unbalanced that way to create a demand for it. You'd have to pay someone to arrange that for you.
2:34 tho
That is gergous

como se llama el nombre de esta obra musical

Quads get a feature, but bass drums don't? Damn.
Hola

When your the only trumpet in your band
Cuantos compases tiene?.....?¡
It starts in 3/4 then 4/4 then last 6/8
Hey Mr. Drumm!
Dude that 6/8 part seems unnecessary like just make it if 3 or 6/4
1:05
you're welcome
I play this but on a harder part that my teacher makes
When youre not even in band
Great song, but He’s a pirate just wasn’t as intense as it should be and, in my opinion, that part was terrible arranging
I didn't like it either, it was very underwhelming
