  • How I recovered my hair from chemical and heat damage
    Products I used on my amazon shop
    www.amazon.co....
    Aubrey organics(no longer available i have linked similar)
    Mielle moisturising conditioner:
    Mielle protein conditioner:
    Cantu curl activator:
    Eco styler gel:
    Olaplex no3
    Pureplex
    Aphogee
    Philip Kinglsey (i forgot to mention)
    I mainly used sulphate, clarifying or neutralising shampoos. Mielle organics conditioners and various reconstructors. I did experiment with shea moisture but it doesn't compare to Mielle imo. I also still used heat throughout this! I never wear wash n gos without diffusing so heat was used and I still recovered.

    No need to ever big chop. Just trim little by little, have a solid routine, and your hair will flourish. Come through healthy hair for everyone this year 🙏🏼 👏🏼

    HOW were you SO CALM throughout this process?! LMAOO I honestly don't know how I would have reacted. So good that you had the foresight to record the journey though! So good and SO GLAD your hair recovered

      Afope Atoyebi when I first damaged it like right before I took the photo, I cried. I felt so stupid for thinking my hair was invincible to what I was doing to it but after that I was just like... accept it! And I felt in my gut something would improve x

      @@Zigandstuff Wow. I was literally on a rollercoaster watching this not going to lie. But when I saw you at the RevAir Launch, your hair looked pretty good, and this was last summer.

    This is such a cute montage!! I mean, I love that you've documented this and honestly I'm glad your hair's back to normal. Been on this journey with you since that first video .. Love from South Africa

    This is so crazy, I believe that my hair is suffering from moisture overload which has cased a lot of breakage and frizz and I had decided to go on a bi-weekly rotation of moisture and protein and even bought my first bag of ghassoul clay and you went on a very similar journey! So glad to see that it has worked for you, hopefully I will have the same outcome!

      SandySI YES! I use the mizani one to this day. (I hope I’ve got the brand right) I use it as ph balancing shampoo and it’s nice and soft x

    What a journey! Where did you get your trim done?

    • @Zigandstuff
      @Zigandstuff  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chika W no where special, literally blow dried my hair out and went to the first hairdresser on the local high street for a cut x

    Hey zig. What if your hair gets damaged again? Given your current situation, what would you plan to do- regimen wise?

    • @Zigandstuff
      @Zigandstuff  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Danessia Williams-Mellis you’ll see in my upcoming regimen! I have incorporated what I’m explaining here, in a different way. I still consider my hair damaged tbh I’m just on a length retention tip and I’m not aiming for bone straight hair the way I was when I damaged it. Who knows, a year from now I might cut it all off! X

    Do you have any blow dryer recommendations? I want to try heat to help stretch my hair between washes. Non heat tension styles always give me headaches no matter what I do.

    • @Zigandstuff
      @Zigandstuff  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      DellPickles you’ll see this on my hair regimen coming soon but I’m so sorry to say the RevAir is amazing. I’m sorry because it’s expensive but it’s awesome. Otherwise just get a hairdryer that’s tourmaline with various heat and speed settings x

      @@Zigandstuff lol thanks
      I've seen the reviews for that dryer, but the cost is too much for me. I'll look into those types of dryers you recommended though. Thanks!
