- In this episode we check-in to the Grand Palazzo Luxury Hotel in Pattaya and check out the five star amenities. I liked the hotel you reviewed. Good price. Good to see you ride down Soi 10 . I have stayed at the Page 10 a couple of times. Nice place that is quiet with an excellent pool and breakfast buffet.

You could fit the whole extended family on that bed. Buffet looked good, but if you want a mind blower, Bayoke Sky Bangkok, when I stayed they had about 15 dishes from each country in Asia so about 200 dishes in all

Lucas... your road trip inspired me to get on the road. So I loaded up the truck and trailer. Loaded up the Harley and have hit the road to Sturgis. I don't have a channel or anything. But I have to say, being on the road again is fantastic. This is one time I haven't road to Sturgis. But I am totally enjoying the journey nonetheless. The great American outdoors and looking forward to some great riding when I get there. I know Thailand well, but you just can't beat the countryside and scenery of the good old USA. Not to mention the ride on a Harley through the many scenic places and the fun of being in Sturgis for the rally. I will toss back a few American beers for you and check out some nice American .... ladies for you. So Vee won't get mad, I will be the one looking and enjoying. Cheers to you and your channel, it's the best. But let met tell you.. when this old Heritage leans over to the left and the right and her floor boards are scraping the ground through a corner, well the fun meter is pegged and it is the most fun you can have with your clothes on lol... Semper Fi, and stop by P72 one time... long ago I knew everyone, I was a military liaison and assigned there... I kept a room 402 lol... not much, cheap and a/c .. that is all that mattered.. Jan's Bar was hopping back then... but P72, good food, nice room, nice bar wonderful people. The owner lived there and she loved to play golf. The White Rose just next to it on the same soi... 15 ? was nice little hotel too. 30 years ago. Wanna was the boss... doubt she is still there lol... [P72]. The hotel your showing looks like what we used to call the Marine Hotel... during the big annual operation that was there... a lady from Bangkok would show up and sell a lot of very nice jewelry from a couple rooms in it. I used to get Christmas cards from her every year. One last note and trust me I don't want to sound negative. But a 5 star recommendation review and 5 star rating for a hotel are two different things. But that being said, that is a very nice place to stay. I got turned off though when I exited the elevator, on my way to see the jewelry lady. And there was this faraang, he had to be in his 70's minimum and he had a girl who was just 20 something... maybe. I was young and hardcharging and wanted to punch his lights out... I felt ugly. Worst part of Pattaya.
I watch your videos when I miss my wife and my son in Thailand. Haven't seen them since February due to this virus situation. We stayed in the same hotel at the beginning of the video some time back. And i'm a bacon lover myself...

I love the Asian breakfast buffets where they have a mix with dinner entrees. I had pressed duck at one place I stayed.

Couple years ago, I used to feast my arrival on the breakfest buffet at The Hilton on Beachroad in Pattaya. That was a feast... Quite expensive, but with fine cheeses, german, dutch sausages... And a large collection of everything. Then the friend I used to go with died in a stupid accident. Never went back... Anyway, thanks for the ride...

1000 baht for guest joiner fee, you can keep it, no matter how nice the hotel is.

That gym is 3 stars at best, in desperate need of relocation. The breakfast looked great, worth setting the alarm for. I'd stay there for sure if I got a similar deal.

I've booked this hotel for a week at the end of this month. The breakfast does look good and as a vegetarian, bacon doesn't matter. :-) It's a bit far from my normal area of town, but it's also good to get out of your comfort zone once in a while.

They should offer gloves to guests at the breakfast buffet to avoid touching the shared spoons when serving themselves. Overall really seems like 4 stars at best.
no, this is not 5* , hotels can self anoint whatever they want but the international standard is not. as I comment before, why don't you try the Hilton and do a real comparison? it is not going to be the price of this hotel but I m sure they have a good rate during this time.

Yep....he truly is the best...and others continually bitch how difficult it is to edit their videos (which i'm sure is not easy and time consuming) but Lucas never complains, keeps his content family friendly, free of political agenda or opinions....he truly is the best!
I would choose a nice guesthouse with balcony facing the street over any upper class hotel, i never felt home in fancy places.
Also you should have more subs by now, maybe optimize your keywords or descriptions.

Good video! In one of your very first videos I think you mentioned that you didnt want to live long term in Pattaya because it was very easy to get... distracted... there. Just curious if you still feel the same way or if you'd consider moving a little closer, like possibly back to Jomtien.
Is it girl friendly? Is it cheap cause of Covid? or similar price as before covid?! How are the walls, I hate when the walls are so thin you can hear everything going on around you.
Would love you to review the royal cliff hotel at pratumnak Pattaya...got its own tennis courts etc.. your the man to do it..👍
Maybe one day, but for now, I am trying to stay at all the 5 star properties in central Pattaya, which I define as between Pattaya Tai, Pattaya Nua and Third road. If the deals last, later I will branch out, to the adjoining areas which have some of the nicest properties actually, Naklua and Pratumnak are prime examples. 👍

great video as always. but this isnt a real 5 star. would be nice if you did Intercontinental or Avani (Marriott) , They have some beautiful gardens and poolarea and the breakfast will not dissapoint.

But a square tailed, shop type shirt... button down, short sleeved, collar... light weight breathable material and the logo... shorts or trousers... classic style and sharp look... great for the night on the town. Successful channel and sharply dressed... and I know, it's hot in Thailand and everyone wears them and as much as you have to take your shoes off... but honestly the flip flops are beachwear not cool for evening attire...
Here's a you Tube channel... Real Men Real Style... huge channel... he is a former Marine. Very down to earth and hey, step up the game...
The thing is... Thailand has it fair share of what has become the stereotypical westerner living there... the guy who the sake of simplicity was the stereotypical loser... and wondering why the ladies back home paid him no attention, his dress, his demeanor, his lack of personal pride... and they move to Thailand and well anyone who has been there or anywhere... you get my drift and know exactly what I am saying... just people watch about 5 minutes... So my point is, you have the best channel on TH-cam... you want to advertise your channel and you want to break away from that stereotypical character... so it's purely constructive criticism... wouldn't say anything if your channel and personality were not worth it. I mean I am a 73 year old widower who was married to one wife who was a beautiful Thai woman who would have been 70 this year. I know Thailand... I live in America and have no desire to live in Thailand. But I enjoy seeing the country now and then, memories. So yeah I am very well established in my life. But I like your channel and your programs and your attitude. So, step up your game !

5 star for Pattaya, but not for Bangkok. I would rate it 4 star if in Bangkok. But your price is really great value!

For comparison I have stayed at the Peninsula and Westin and these are true 5 star properties. Of course you pay for these. The breakfasts are amazing. However I must say for 100 Baht- that was a very good value with a good selection. The room looked tobe about 40-45 square meters and having a nice balcony made it all the better. Perhaps 4.5 stars. Years ago we stayed at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel and I would say this property is close to a five star resort.
