I lived in Thailand for 4 year and ended up marrying a Thai woman before moving back to Australia. Those dises you are having a very typical forigner dishes, they have things that are way more adventuous and much spicier. BTW my wife once put an entire carolina reaper in her Pad Gra Pow and it didnt phase her one bit, it was not hot enough for her. She also puts at least 20 chillies in her Som Tum salad and eats it as a main meal along side sticky rice (to dip in the sauce) and other veggies. Your video is a great introduction into Thai food for people who dont have much experience. Great work

I'm Thai & Lao, I appreciate you guys for really appreciating our culture & food. Although some Thai restaurants don't make the food like my mom does, it's great that they are around for other people to try.
You guys should try Peruvian food!!! 🇵🇪 Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, Pollo a la brasa, Aji de gallina, Tallerines verdes, Causa, Papa Rellena, Rocoto Relleno, and Anticuchos, are just a few of my favorites! And for dessert try arroz con leche and mazamorra morada, and an alfajor. If you can find it, try Picarones too! 😋

As a Mexican-American, I would looooove to see you explore the varied cuisines of Mexico beyond just tacos/burritos/enchiladas. The world of mole, all the different soups(pozole rojo is my fav) chilaquiles, chiles rellenos, different styles of tamales, tortas, pan dulces, elotes, nopales, aguas frescas,the list could go on and on!

very excited for this video! I just wanted to share some tips and infos to enjoy more thai cuisine!! pad thai isn't really something thai people love to eat but it's still good ^^; you usually eat som tam with grilled thai chicken and soups is served with jasmine rice but you had many dishes to try so it's understandable why you left it out! all the dishes are made way more spicier.. like som tam. thai level of spiciness is no joke (better for herbert!)

Yessss we love us some thai food....I've had em all my fav is Tom yam soup it's not as sour most of the time but depends who makes it I've had super sour ones qn then really good ones ....Tom kae is awesome too an I love boat noodles an labb salad is one of my favorites too....love the content an congratulations on the up coming wedding....when are you guys gonna make some koreaman(korean german)babys?....lol....keep up the awesome content an Herbert is the man

I just. Love Thai food so much. I took one quick trip to Thailand while I was living in Japan and took my two tiny offspring with me, so I wasn’t able to do much but it was completely worth it because of the foooood 😍

My family is from Sri Lanka. Not many places have Sri Lankan restaurants but if you have one it's so good. Similar to Indian but different flavor profiles. Delicious though 😋

Probably one of my favorite foods of all time is Fried Rice, especially Thai style. I could eat it by the bowl full. I hope to one day go to Thailand and try a lot of spicy and savory street food. Also YB, fun fact: Moo in Thai means pork. Lol

When you order som tum or the papaya salad again try it with any grill meat on a skewer or with sticky rice. Dipping the left over sauce with the sticky rice is the best part.

Hey YB, you should make another Thai food video and order all the other food that you didn’t get to try.
I hope the taste of curry is good and correct because from the color I can‘t even tell if that was real Massaman and Panang because they are supposed to be red from the red paste
And when you said Pad Kra Prao reminded you of Pho, I feel really shocked because I know right away that this restaurant used a different Basil because Kra Prao mean Holy Basil and the smell and the taste or even the shape of it is totally different from Basil that we put on Pho.
I hope you guys will have a chance to try Thai food again with the correct ingredients.

Som tam isn’t really an appetizer, you eat this together with (sticky) rice and grilled chicken or something else. Same with the tom yum (soup) you eat it with rice! :)

Y’all should try some real authentic Mexican food. Not like tacos, enchilada, burritos or fajitas. More like guisados, pipian, mole and caldo or pozole. So many folks are only familiar with street food but my fave is more home cooked Mexican style food. I wish I could invite y’all to eat my Mexican mom’s home cooked foods, but she doesn’t really cook 😆 probably why I crave these foods 😂

Almost your Thai dishes are so weird different than Thai cuisine in Thailand and Thai people normally eat with rice for reducing strong flavors of spices in Thai foods.

Not all a Thai restaurant can cook good Thai food. From the color of the dishes you ordered it seam like not a good one. Massaman curry doesn’t look like normal Massaman curry.
The Curry is not quite authentic too creamy and the spice is way too mild
and you have to eat with rice
the rest is ok authentic.
