I've got 2 Duck Commander woody calls. My 1st one I got from Phil himself. I went and listened to him preach at a church in Silsbee, TX and I brought my calls, which were all DC. He said something along the lines of, "There's only one thing missing from your arsenal there" and handed me a woody call. Got to meet Miss Kay and Martin there also. Great service. The other is from my Granddad's call collection after he passed.

Hands down the best eating duck in the sky. Early season coming in a few days, practicing up on my DC woody call.

I was having trouble with the one you say sort of sounds like a Pileated Woodpecker until I learned the spit note on the goose call. Using the first part of that tongue motion nails it for me.
I love how their Robertson DNA goes on on each and every duck call. LOL! He spit all over that one! Lol!

Please do so. The bond a father and son can build in the blind is irreplaceable. If he's old enough to ask to go, he's plenty old enough to go. Life is an hour glass, that's letting its sand trickle through, until its gone, except you do not get the luxury of knowing how much is left in the top half....

I will never understand them Arkansas boys who pass up wood ducks in the timber to hopefully wait on some mallards. It’s like passin up a ribeye for a sirloin.
We're not passing them up, just making sure we have a good, clean shot. Scrap / bonus ducks are always welcome to the party! 😁
Recently picked up a new woodie call and it’s super hard to blow. My buddies older one blows super easy. Not sure if I just got a bad one or what.

I live in Weymouth nova Scotia and I shot a wood duck banded from st Martin's parish Louisiana how far is it from you at duck commander
I have a new woodie call, I mean new cause of the newer shiny material. It will not stay together and it doesn’t break anything like my older ones. Is there a way to fix this??

Can you tell me why turkey and chicken have to be cooked well done but it's ok to cook duck medium rare?
Because turkey and chicken are poultry. Has to be done. Waterfowl is red meat. Red meat can be cooked to preferred temperature range and be safe to eat

if you're removing skin on your wood ducks you deserve to be left in the swamp. they are way too easy to pluck to be removing the skin.
