Remember, people who stopped and had a positive experience after quitting aren’t looking up videos on quitting Zoloft and aren’t commenting.

I’m looking for information about the side effects of going off Zoloft. The side effects of taking 100 mg have been absolutely horrendous! After 6 weeks of misery, the psych finally let me drop to 50mg. That softened the migraine like headaches, but still having concerning side effects. I want to stop it completely. I’m concerned about bad side effects.

I tried with therapy, sports and all the positive cute bs for 20 years. With Sertraline it got me 3 months to stop wanting to die and 6 months to feel good. So obviously I'll probably never be able to stop. I hope it works for you without meds!

after 18 months on Zoloft my mood felt unreal to who I really was… I was too compliant. To everyone and every situation. It wasn’t me. I didn’t want to go softly into the night…. Antidepressants were absolute hell for me. I was guinea pigged on dozens. Best case all the thoughts and feelings were inside and I just couldn't outwardly express them so I constantly wanted to die. Worst case, I hallucinated on the ground screaming for air and thinking that I was dead or dying. When I told my professional, they would tell me to "give it a couple of weeks" to set in. Uhh, how am I supposed to function at ALL like that!? We should do a collab video about medication horror stories! I have some others from clients as well.

I've been taking sertraline for over 22 years. What are my chances? I was on 100mg but sometimes 200mg when losing loved ones. Am now on 50mg for past 3 weeks. So far so good despite personal heartaches just when I'm trying to do without. Also, winter may not be a good time to try this. Less outdoors, less activity, less distraction.
Main reason to try now is realising there may be a link with sleep apnoea which is dangerous and causing violent thrashing about which could cost me my girlfriend.
