Just completed one of these and I accidentally got too tall of a servo so I skied the 5 mm plastic and 12 mm metal spacers and just when with a straight 29 mm offset spacers and mounted the front shocks to the outside of the top servo bracket instead of the inside. Works perfectly fine

Amazing build, this sold me on a D5S over a D4. I did not expect this much quality out of a $95 kit either, even my Tamiya High Lift (new $600) had bushings and cheaper quality plastic parts. One question I do have though, does it come with magnets for the body? I picked up a Tamiya Supra body which should fit.
Hi, magnet is including, you can see in the beginning of VDO but all tamiya body shell is not good for D4 or D5 because they need more than 195 mm. width length but if you checking MST rmx 2.0 s RTR you can see they selling with tamiya body shell because MST RTR fix all of the link to fit with 190 mm body shell, D5 is good for who want to start RWD RC Drift but I think you must go to check some setting to run with another who play this before you at the track because in the manual out of the box, my opinion is just assemble not for the run (ex. Steering angle, shock setting), thanks for watching this VDO too man lml/
@@RaceInPeaceisHere Thank you! I ended up going with a Colt R32 body which is 200MM and the perfect wheelbase. I'll do the stock setup to begin with, as I will be drifting at 2 tracks; one carpet track, one concrete, so middle-of-the-road would be best.

Hi, sound sweet but I am not a pro, in the VDO just assemble by follow the instruction manual and not adjust any setting for smooth and style for any owner :3
BTW I am MST user, my rwd rc drift car is rmx 2.0 s with rear motor conversion lml/
Can a mst body Toyota soarer fit this chassis ?
Hi, mst soarer is width 200 mm so I think it can be fit with d5 too

I see a mass majority of the drift world locking their differentials do you guys do that to if so do you have a video on how you do it and if not why?
Lock rear diff (spoon) is for running on carpet but unlock diff (ball diff & gear diff) are for very slippery floor such a terrazzo or asphalt floor and turbo and boost function in your esc will better performance more on carpet floor, try it
