Five guys has always been pricey since they make your order fresh and the ice cream truck is just taxed bc of the location I’m sure in the back blocks somewhere it’s still around $2
I had the same problem on my S1000R. Under the cluch leaver there is a micro lever switch I bent it too much when I was changing the lever. With that the sensor was in a state thinking that cluch is pulled and was disableing quickshifter. There a some vids on YT it is known issue for all S1000. Cheers.
I mentioned this in the video already, cruise control wouldn’t work and I wouldn’t be able to change riding modes and other things If that was the issue but I appreciate you sharing trying to help 👍
There might be a fraction too much slack in the shift rod. I added a translogic quick shifter to my 06 gsxr 1000 and it worked fine when I cycled through the gears on the stand but when I would ride it on the street it wouldn’t work. After some fiddling about. I realized there was too much play in the shift rod itself so I tightened everything by adjusting the spacers all the way out so there’s no play in the lever. Bang! Now it works nice and smooth. Worth at try for your bike🤷🏽♂️
Yeah I wiggled the foot lever and thought there was more play in it than I would like, thanks for sharing! I’ll look into it when I tackle that issue again sometime soon 👍
It seems when you change your levers from stock,you have to make sure that new clutch lever has the tab on the bottom of the lever that engages the metal strips on the micro switch,if it doesn't then the quick shifter will not work,that would be the main area I would investigate

It’s a sweet bike for sure, I’d say aim for the newer gen though unless my gen is your dream gen. The new gen is leagues ahead, I just like my gen more personally

better hide that plate before the exaust tickets starts coming in the mail. the cameras have desible counters and send ticket to your house for loud exaust.

Brought the fabric off of eBay and had an upholstery shop in queens fix them on. (MCcoys upholstery)!

Bro, try loosen the bolts on the quick shifter, if they're too tight the quick shifter won't work.
