    8.38 w/ 14.25 wheelbase (love Hockey), Thunder light 149, mob grip, ACE AF1 hollow hardware - 7/8ths allen, Powell dragons 55 or 54 mm, Bones swiss. Been skating for over 20 years and i just recently figured out what feels the best for me. Also, I'm 6' 1" 170 lbs with a 10.5 shoe size.

    Also keep an eye out for older skaters that have fresh gear all the time. Chances are, they have bunch of gear they're willing to give out to feel less guilt about buying stuff all the time.

    I try to go for rounded nose and tails with lots of concave. Also focus on tryin new sizes. I stopped skating 10 years ago but recently got back into it. When i was skating 8s felt like boats now kids are riding 10s lol. Im now on an 8.35 and it feels great.

    Do you have any board size recommendations for beginners that are even younger than the age you use in your example here? I'm thinking 5 or 6 year olds...
    How about even younger? ...like older toddlers, say 3 or 4?
    There's no doubt they need something around the shortest sizes typicaly available. But is there a rule of thumb in figuring the best length for a given age?
    Also, is there a minimum length to be aware of? I figure when a board gets too small, it can become too reactive and a whole lot less stable. Not sure if this is actually true, but if so, is there a minimum length to not go below?
    Thanks for any tips y'all have! 🙏

    • @ArjunShah
      @ArjunShah  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely don’t go too small. I’d stick to a 12.5 inch wheelbase and maybe a 30” length board for kids of that size. Some companies make “grom “ setups! Here’s a link to some: www.fullcircledistribution.com/products/madrid-grom-kranium-m-core?_pos=2&_sid=074007605&_ss=r

    If your local shop has boards they make themselves id suggest those too my shop has a bunch with their own logo on it for usually 40 bucks or so its a great deal if you need to save money and hows your experience on those aces do the bushings hold up Arjun thoought about trying them

    • @Inexpressable
      @Inexpressable ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm in the UK and buy Route One shop decks often, only £35 and the concave feels decent. I even bought their own shaped deck, a little fishtail one, and I loved it. That was £40 but they have it on sale for £30. Would really recommend.

    • @ArjunShah

      I love the aces, bushings felt fine from the break in. I have had to replace bushings on ace trucks once but my current set are still rockin.
