I did not understand why he's not on music shows for his album promotion, but after reading the comment section where some fans explained the reason why, my respect for him grows. We are too spoiled by music shows until we have the mindset that any Korean artist who releases sth new will automatically go on these shows to promote, but we forgot that he is NOT an IDOL. I am actually glad now that he isn't on any of the music shows out there because that doesn't justify how awesome his music is. I only hope JYPE will never stop releasing surprise videos like this as a promotion tactic for his album. He truly deserves more spotlight. This acoustic version is just too beautiful to be true. Loving his sound more and more as time goes by.

Rather than saying he trained for 15 years, its more accurate to say it took 15 years for JYP to debut him. He was probably more talented than most idols put forth by companies, but since his genre of music isn't what you'd consider mainstream in Korea, they didn't rush his debut and prioritized other artists who are guaranteed to make more money for the company.
Actually jyp wanted his debut to have been much earlier however g.soul him self disagreed and said that there was much more things to learn (when he was in the u.s) and so wanted to debut later.
