    Thanks for the video. Evo R are hard to be seen on video. Any more planned?

    Looks absolutely butyfull. So innovative, too.
    I really want to build one, as i can't afford the 10k for that little masterpiece.

      Building one will cost you around the same amount. If not more, because these guys have been designing for a long time, and perfected their molds, to save cost.

    I'm in the process of buying one of the older Go One Evo R's in honey comb with the center steering column. I'd like to pick your brain later after I get it in the mail if thats ok? I heard there were only around 12-15 of these bikes ever made. I like your head light setup, which is something I may try doing myself once I get it.

    I am curious as to what the chain rings are. Nice looking ride, is this used as a commuter?

    Have you considered a move powerful electric assist like magic pie 4? How was the buying process? What was the buying process? How long did that take start to finish?

      Not familiar with magic pie 4. My order took about six months to arrive. Mods took another six months.

      Edward Boylan I don't know about this particular velo, but a lot of them have a single-sided swing arm or hub ... especially with the fully-enclosed tail, because it's easier to remove the rear wheel ... so you can't use a hub motor, like a magic pie ... (but I like the way you think ... this thing would be WICKED fast with 1000+ watts pushing it 😜)

      I'm pushing 3000 watts into the HT3540. According to the CA, top speed is 85-87kph although I've never had it up there... the roads are too bad here. Read somewhere that someone figured out how to use a hub motor on a single swing arm but I wouldn't recommend it.

      DaveVelo1 very cool ... I ride an ICE Vortex, with a Bafang mid-drive that's been hacked to draw 25 amps, and a 48v battery ... I've pedaled it to 53kph, and mostly ran out of room, but partly ran out of balls because I was getting airborne from big bumps on the bike path ... but I still had one more gear to go ... I want a velo next, but they're hard to come by in the US ... I know of a go-one3 that's for sale, but it's 3200 km away and over-priced ... I want something I can put a strong hub motor on, but didn't think the dropouts on the lightweight aluminum frame of the ICE could take very much power ... does yours have a carbon fiber swingarm, like the go-one3?

      Before I bought the Evo, I was looking at a tad pole with a fairing. Gave that up for several reasons. One was exposure to the elements. The Evo is fully enclosed and fairly comfortable when the road surface is decent. It's all carbon except crank mount. The fork is completely redesigned and has duraluminum dropouts that I managed to crack on the drive side. I failed to take into consideration the oversized motor shaft which prevented the axle from bedding up against the top of the dropout... torque did the rest. After some improvements, all is well now.

    Fine for speed freaks, useless as a car replacement. Which one of those two categories are now a global emergency of the highest importance?

    • @DaveVelo1
      @DaveVelo1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no. I depends on your transportation needs.

      Well as 3 year owner of the ELF I got rid of my car and do just fine with the ability to haul 20 bags of groceries or other bulky cargo out of the weather. Who never needs to haul cargo of some sort? I also have real full brightness and visibility DOT lighting, not tiny little indicators that are so close together they are confusing.

      Dude, do you just troll non-elf owners and bag on them for not being as smart as you are? This is the second one I’ve seen you make the same comments on..... Not everyone has the same requirements as you do. Your elf can’t haul large pieces of furniture but how many truck owners come on your channel and tell you how much smarter they are than you? I’ve looked at the elf and it doesn’t meet my needs so I’m investigating further....

      Also depends on where you live. Are you still using the Elf? You should make some videos
