Merry Christmas Jack. Some nice finds there. The little RM linear is well known over here. Known as a splatter box because of the lack of filtering and measured in Italian watts. The splatter issue occurs right across the whole range they produce.
Thank you George, you as well! Good to know about the amp, "if" I revive it, it would be neat to check it out on the spectrum analyzer...but honestly, I may only revive it if I can find a PA cheap enough to entice me. ~Jack, VEG
i have an Accurate Instruments tube tester from that time. The radio tester has multi functions, pretty kewl. My mfj 259 is well used and very handy, much liked. But if I had the $, I would like a better one with spectrum display. Those rotors go nicely on the chimmoly with strap mounts. Not eure what some of the stuff is for? Not interesteed in digital radio. Kewl little waterproof rig. Looking forward to see that Yaesu mobile repairs. It was very cold here the past few days, single digit temps, and high winds, plus anout 4" of snow. But we had power and the 40 year old bouler and 70 year old Luxaire furnace is doing great! I must upgrade my generator to propane, and install that new boiler this spring. I suspect the carb on the generator is clogged from corn gas. It's supposed to warm up next weekend, may do the generator then. i'd like to replace the Luxaire with a wood burner pot belly stove someday. They say this really bad weather came from the north pole!
I'm with you Don, if my pockets were deeper.....I'm not a fan of digital, I am fat and happy with analog, however, I am taking a trip this coming year to Arkansas and thought it would be neat to QSO while I'm driving with the YL at our QTH, and this radio was cheap...I don't think it will do what I want, plus the radio was cheap enough to at least check it out, se what the hub-bub is all about...I haven't yet, it has set on the shelf since shooting this video 2 months ago. Good luck on repairing your boiler, hope your successful and you guys stay warm! ~Jack, VEG
Thank you, I really enjoy these HAM Swaps for the great deals one can get, neat thing is, is you don't have to be a HAM to get them, just show up with a pocket full of $$$$ and a plan! :) ~Jack, VEG

The transistor radio tester is pretty cool, Jack. Musta been quite expensive back in the day!
