I used to dance to Karatong and we won all out highschool back when I was in 1st year highschool. It is an honor to see Japanese Foreign Studies students dancing to our folk dance. It is great!!! AMAZING!!!!
The first dance is the Karatong Subli, while the second dance is called Pastores de Bicol, also called Pastores de Belen. The spanish lyrics that are still sung by the Bicolanos during the christmas celebrations retell the story of the original christmastime, and invites the shepherds to go and seek the holy celestal son of God, the Baby Jesus. From the looks of it, it has strong Mexican Influence.
