- For almost three decades, Pavia Pilot Special Science Elementary School, formerly known as Pavia Pilot Elementary School topped the CDSA II Folk Dance Competition. It was a legend to be kept, a dance to be preserved and people to be known. This video was captured during the 2008 CDSA II Meet at Leon, Iloilo.

One of the best Filipino folk dances I've seen. The pupils are are all graceful and lovely dancers. Well done to the choreographer, you can see that they were all trained well. Congratulations!

this is what i love in iloilo city. cultural dance contest is a big thing! they give so much passion and sweet to their dancing and music! nostalgic!!!! i remember my high school days back in Iloilo.. i was once a dancer of "pandanggo sa ilaw" 😂😂😂 congrats guys!!!

julian lee is right. It's a big thing in Iloilo. But I think you have a point too but not all Filipinos give value to it. Cultural competitions is a 'thing' in Western and Central Visayas.

Not only in Iloilo but I think in a whole western Visayas here in Capiz its a big thing when you are a folk dancer esp. in high school or in college

My Nanay used to be a teacher in Pavia and she taught us folk dances...this folk dance "Sayaw sa Cuyo" is new. Great job Pavia teachers and students...from Chicago.

We have a cultural dance company which is practicing this dance for Asian Heritage month, and we would love a copy of the music for Sayaw Sa Cuyo. This is the nicest version we have heard, but we can't find it anywhere. Any clues where these dancers got their copy?
