Oh my god that subway theme, is the best! I remember going into Queens NY, when I was a kid and I was so fascinated with the subway, and I just captured all of it in my head and added it to a comic I was working on. Later when I heard this theme, and saw the stage- I flipped out, was so excited, because I thought the music fit so well. I think I will go back to it, update everything and finish it up, though I definitely will keep the 80's action/martial arts movie influence in it, and would love to one day turn it into a game series.
@David Nash It's a project I put on hold for now, as I focus fully, on the one a friend and I started to build up, based on a little comic I drew as a kid, called "Sentient Armament", with the main character, being an imaginary friend I created as a child, with my brother. I had actually left it all alone for awhile in 2015, even stopped drawing, when my friend had passed away. That was pretty depressing. Over this past summer, when I was in the hospital, I had some doctors and nurses talk to me about video games, which was so weird, and cool. They pretty much encouraged me to continue with the project, so I am. I just recently had to check imgur, to pull images of the main character, I created using Final Fantasy Comrades, back in 2017, so my 3D artist could use it to help build his model, along with the drawings lol. Mostly focusing on PC, and Mobile, and this first game, is more of an RPG, an action RPG for it's second, and Fighter for it's third.
This is marvelous. I remember lusting after a Mega CD back then and this would have been on my list. Never happened. All these years and never got to listen to this version of the Final Fight OST. It's sooooo good.
Love most all these tracks. Listened to them back in the arcade with Awe!!!! So many good memories. Sad thing is our youth won’t have this to pass down. It will be gone In a few years.
Been listening to this since 93’ Sega CD in a diskman. Same thing with MK1. Hidden track in the Sega CD game when played on a stereo. This is amazing that’s it’s so old yet still popular and loved
Second tracks ALWAYS reminded my brothers and I of the movie "Golden Child" LOL. The music on this game was so damn amazing, Capcom was the best with the fighters and music in the 90's, next to SNK.. The subway theme truly did remind me of people running from a gang, and making it to the subway- and having to fight there, and quickly get on the train to get away from more of them who were coming, it was amazing.
Wow i remember this soundtrack i loved it.Listen to that whammy bar goin crazy in the song starting at 18:20 haha, it always made me laugh whoever played this song loved the whammy bar for sure through the whole song lol
P. H. G. F. true, but it came 3 years later than most ports, to be fair. Also, not the OST, but the X68000 port is much better in any other way... it was an expensive computer that didn't leave Japan, but it was definitely the best port. I love de MegaCD version, anyway.
***** That's because the combos on the Sega CD version are a bit slower, but aside from that it's much more faithful gameplay-wise than the SNES version, the SNES version is quite butchered in that area.
Comboing on Mega CD was slightly slower than the arcade version (therefore than X68000 too, since this was identical to the arcade), but in exchange for that, the Mega CD version had a few extra stages, and much better music. As a whole, it's safe to say this was the best port.
Perfect for the opening scene of a Final Fight film adaptation, especially because it's such an 80s sounding rendition, I remember in 89 when this game was fresh in arcades, it supposedly took place in the mid 90s, if they were to do a movie of this game now, I think it would be awesome if in fact the film did take place in the mid 90s, n it would be refreshing if the film would be produced in the same style of the era, which is why this particular version of the soundtrack is so fitting, it just sparks my imagination with all sorts of awesome ideas :)
I noticed how the late 80's instrumentals seem to rear it's influenced by the music here. I'm rather glad because 80's did have some fun instrumentations. Also, I notice how much more western sounding this sounds compared to the arcade version. Very interesting compared side by side how the arcade has this Japanese electrical feel in comparison. The arcade version always this back alley feels as if your about to enter some backyard bar hidden in some alley.
Not gonna lie; much of these themes I first heard in Street Fighter Alpha series. But it introduced me to the awesomeness that is Final Fight; so there you go!
Man, they were quite humble on the box description. The game does have arcade-quality sound effects (they're basically sampled directly from the arcade version) but the music is much higher quality (and IMO better) than the arcade!
This game proved what a missed opportunity it was for SEGA to just do arcade game ports on the console with the extra features the hardware had. This port was almost arcade perfect and it included way better remixed music and extra features. Instead, SEGA would focus on bad FMV games that I never liked. Could you imagine an original Shinobi or Golden Axe on the SEGA CD?!
If you enjoy that one check out Terminator, Batman, Sonic CD (both Japan and US versions), and Ecco the Dolphin. Although, I'll admit it this one sorta is above everything I just listed ;p
Actually after listening and thinking a lil bit more, some tracks sounds very much like Mega Man X4, and Street fighter 2, plus 80's porno-type to a few. Wow what a mixture of style!!! The Mega Man X4-esque parts really sound excellent, must have used the same sound mixing equipment here as they did in 96-97 and the same guitarist lol
I had this when I was like 9 or 10, it was so much better than the SNES version!!! And they did really kill the late 80's heavy style perfectly!!! So bad-ass
Not really my genre, but IMO this track is one of the best game soundtracks I've heard. I remember turning the ghetto blaster (UK name for boom box) up when playing through the 2nd stage area. Awesome music. Awesome game. Needs a modern remake like Street Fighter series.
11:57 my favourite.
The music is just impeccable, and it is just so amazing, that it sends chills down your spine, and you feel it all over.
♥️
Ow, my 90's bone.
Gabriel Proteus Heh “bone”
80s*
Damn, I miss the 90's!
80s
This version including the remixed soundtrack for the sega cd was 1993
I miss the 80s and 90s
@RETRO PHIL Hahaha. Good to see you on TH-cam as well Phil. 8^)
@@nawletorre7136 the sega cd version came out on 1993

Yes it is

Love how pumped I got playing this fighter on Sega CD, gotta say that Andre's cage fight theme at 8:44 is pure badass to play to, very well done game.
probably the best video game soundtrack EVER! 8:40 reminds me of the show Hunter from the 1980's don't know why.
Sega's in house music team 'T-music' did wonders with this music. It's Sega, so you can only expect the best VGM possible.
Love most all these tracks. Listened to them back in the arcade with Awe!!!! So many good memories. Sad thing is our youth won’t have this to pass down. It will be gone In a few years.

Jan Hammer influence, all over this OST. Amazing!!!
Good call, it really is Final Fight by way of Miami Vice
Listening to this in FLAC through a high-end system sounds pretty incredible!
someone please do a vinyl release of this soundtrack

love the bass lines!!! I learn to slap with this game!
I love the second track, well all are great actually! :) I miss 90s so I love anything that belongs back then
Always can tell a Sega CD soundtrack. Epic!
Track 06: Dude forgot he was on a Final Fight Soundtrack. Can’t tell him nothin. 🔥 🤣👍🏼
The 1st boss cracked me up. You keep hitting him, he just laughs. 😄
Para mim é a melhor trilha sonora de um jogo já feito. O cuidado na produção foi excepcional!! Saudades da minha infância
Concordo!!
HOLY FUCK 0_0 THIS IS SO AWESOME
00:00 This is the sauce. Very well produced. It doesn't get any better than that. Damn it
Sega/Mega- CD had the definitive version of this classic game. Glad the mini#2 is including it
Thank you for uploading this, the Sega CD version of this soundtrack is my favorite.
When they knew how to make video game music, this version of the game was the hottest shit ever to hit back when I was a kid, just incredible
Wow i remember this soundtrack i loved it.Listen to that whammy bar goin crazy in the song starting at 18:20 haha, it always made me laugh whoever played this song loved the whammy bar for sure through the whole song lol
Must have been some Satriani fan who played this
18:30 best music in a video game ever!
+Will Harris Yeah, like Megaman X soundtrack.

''you son of...what you do to her.... the mad gear must pay''
didnt think id find this on youtube. amazing. thumbs to the man
Best version of the Soundtrack and by far the best port of the original game
P. H. G. F. true, but it came 3 years later than most ports, to be fair. Also, not the OST, but the X68000 port is much better in any other way... it was an expensive computer that didn't leave Japan, but it was definitely the best port. I love de MegaCD version, anyway.
14catorce The X68000 computer is basically the arcade, they used those computers to write the game.
P. H. G. F. Check out the Sharp X68000, they used those computers to make Final Fight and Street Fighter, so the ports are almost identical
***** That's because the combos on the Sega CD version are a bit slower, but aside from that it's much more faithful gameplay-wise than the SNES version, the SNES version is quite butchered in that area.

Wished Capcom ported the arcade with this soundtrack
Love this game.
Ruben Rodriguez You mean FF or the Sega CD version?
Final Fight...the ROM for PC Version.
The arcade soundtrack is infinitely better. This one is way too soft.
I always wanted a Sega CD for this game...too bad I couldn't afford one.
One of the best soundtracks. The music on the subway stage is my favorite.
This sounds like it could be in lethal weapon. One of the best soundtracks. Sega cd put their money into this soundstrack
Excelent Higher Quality of Audio For Your Age
This is very Delicius!!!

Well that's good
that part, love that breakdown coz I get the same feelings
I think track 06 is my favorite, the lady singing in there is so awesome hehe!
The first level REMIX soundtrack is the LICK.
2:10 needs to be longer. Way longer.

Best beat em up I've ever played.
best version of the FF sound track
omg why this soundtrack sounds so good?! 😮😮😮👏👏👏
Puro heavy Metal! _\m/
Wow! How have i only just stumbled across this???? Amazing sound!
You can actually play the arcade Final Fight with this music in MAME as well as a native PC port now.
this remix is kinda hot!!
18:12 Best song of this "covered" soundrack for the game.
18:35 is my jam
DERE'S NO ESCAPE RAIDUR. You gotta get this yooou'll love it.
I don't know why some people are comparing this soundtrack to the arcade ST. They sound nothing alike. This version is a A++ rendition.
Love the classics from Capcom.
20:24 fucking chills Rolento 🗡💣
Not gonna lie; much of these themes I first heard in Street Fighter Alpha series.
But it introduced me to the awesomeness that is Final Fight; so there you go!
Best OST ever.
Track 06 ♡ The best
Light years ahead arcade version. Rolento's music track 11 is fantastic

I respectfully disagree. The music here sounds quite dull compared to the arcade, which used an FM chip to sound awesome.
God that intro is so damn epic......

Sega CD could have been a "Neo Geo" add on to mega drive...
Best OST on Sega CD.
If you enjoy that one check out Terminator, Batman, Sonic CD (both Japan and US versions), and Ecco the Dolphin. Although, I'll admit it this one sorta is above everything I just listed ;p
Those are all good OSTs, I agree.
i feel like thats because they were still figuring out what would sound best in cd games, so we got a lot of experimentation.
It's good but I find myself coming back to the Lords of Thunder soundtrack more often
this the best Final Fight ost ever!
Some good! Imagine if they made Mega Man 2 and 3 soundtrack. 🔥 You can kinda hear Mega Man on track 7.
Incredible Soundtrack!!!
Oh, los 90s...
THE BEST VERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What’s 2:10 ?
Some songs sounds simillar to Street Fighter Alpha's OST
Capcom could turn the Final Fight trilogy into a Netflix series if they wanted to
YES!! I FOUND IT!!
fuckin awesome soundtrack!
I had this when I was like 9 or 10, it was so much better than the SNES version!!! And they did really kill the late 80's heavy style perfectly!!! So bad-ass
This is the Sega CD insisting upon itself.
Where i can download this amazing soun track from this Sega CD´s Final Fight version?
Oh Cody....
If only they brought final fight 2 AND 3 onto the system building on this type of soundtrack
This really reminds me of the Guardian Heroes soundtrack on the Saturn, is there a connection ?
the best
Why am i just hearing this goddammmmmmnnnnnnnn
38:08 Love the intro music.
08:43 Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!
Its all about the 4:24 =)

Agreed, Great Bass

I loved 8:40 in the SNES version, but I just can't like it here. It sounds way too different.
8:40 is EVERYONE'S favorite. ;)
AGREED
Very good!!! ;-)
Oh, father! I was so scared!

18:07 dope sound ... so loud ...
They were definitely going for a Jan Hammer Miami Vice style arrangement here.
Need a full credit list to the musicians involved.
new retro wave opening
The music on Sega CD is so soothing
This soundtrack makes me wanna drink cuevo tequila.
C clair ils ont assuré il a fallu du travail pour refaire ce jeu sorti 1993 4 ans apres la version arcade moi j'ai les deux versions japonaise et usa

8:40 wow
the 10th out its on top
Track 4 sounds just like music from the Chick Corea Elektric Band. I think, it's because of the guitars.
Where's the Intro music tho? The Final Fight CD intro is the best version of the intro
Edit: Nevermind I now know it's the last one
