- I met Tommy Emmanuel at The Sage Gateshead. It was the best day of my life we played cowboys dream together. I want to relive the moment. i was so nervous i couldn't even speak. but I thank Tommy massively for the inspiration

How many top stars would give that time to a young kid?? just goes to show what a genuine bloke he is, no wonder he has such a good reputation the world over for having his feet on the ground.

Connor... I have met Tommy on several occasions, and every time he has been as gracious a gentleman as he was with you. As you get older you will realize how fortunate you were to have these moments with the world's best musician. You did a fantastic job on Cowboys Dream! That's brilliant, Connor.You did really well. I saw Tommy play just before that, when he was in Basingstoke. Like he says, keep at it - play every day, as much as you can and whenever you hear someone great, go back and play even more!

Talk about raising a kid right. He is surrounded by a musician that are older and more experienced, he gives respect to him, and his parents give him gear for hard work. I know too many kids that are given everything, and nothing is expected of them.

Great video. Tommy is always so genuine with everyone he meets. I truly believe he relishes this time with young players like you, Conner, more than sometimes even being on stage.
Great video, I was lucky enough to spend about 25 days in Tennessee at the same time and place as tommy and he would let me sit and listen to him practice every day. He amazed me every time then a couple months later I found out he was voted best acoustic guitar player by the readers of guitar player magazine.... amaZing
