Hot Tent Camping in a Freezing Snowstorm

- My dog and I went camping in a warm tent in a freezing snowstorm. We generally prefer surrounding areas and open areas for camping in stormy weather. This is because a lot of trees fall in the forest due to the strong wind blowing in a snowstorm or rainstorm. This can be dangerous for our camp and us. When I arrived at the campsite, the first thing I did was set up my camping tent and wood stove. Afterwards, I lit the stove and collected dry wood from the forest to warm up in the tent. We had a great time throughout the camp and cooked delicious camping meals.

Yes definitely. They Do a Very Good Job Especially in Stormy Weather
Put some heavy Stones or logs around the edge of the tent, will help keep it in place and prevent it from flapping all over the place and keep the warmth inside the tent

Loved this episode big fella. Great work on setting up tent. Not sure who enjoys it more, you or Mars. Dont know where you are camping but does it ever get so cold at night (-40) that you hear trees cracking and splitting in two before falling? First time i heard it i thought it was cannon fire. Wise not camp near trees!!!

Excellent video, you had some tough conditions to set up camp it. Mars was his usual helpful self, loved how he grabbed that stick and would not let go! Not a fan of the center pole tent design but yours seems to work pretty well for you.

Честно говоря, давно обхожусь только куском ткани (тентом), веревкой и нодьей. Все тяжело, топор - излишество. Только нож.

I think the tent is way too exposed . It could have been set up further behind the trees to reduce exposure to the storm.

Do you have any advise or input on the flue lever mechanism in the stove pipe? Like the ideal settings for it to get the best burn time and burn efficiencies? Thanks. (Forgot what they call that mechanism; the lever that controls how open the pipe is.)
Hello. Having the chimney fully open ensures that the stove burns better. If that arm is closed, smoke cannot be evacuated.
I probably should have wordd this better. If you have it like only half open to try to make the wood last longer, will you have risk of having the fire go out? @@bushcrafterr

This Is Not My Hobby. This is my job. That's Why I Camp In All Weather Conditions. I Cook Noodles Very Often While Camping. Because it is easy to prepare and has enough calories. I Also Cooked Some Salmon At This Camp. I think you skipped that part. I can cook. But I think it's the wrong place to cook dishes that require a lot of ingredients.

It’s a challenge to camp in hard weather - in other words, it’s interesting and fun. It’s not for everyone, so if you don’t like it, cool. But when the rain starts belting down and the wind howls over the lake, that’s my idea of a good time.
