Yow, as a girl, the whole stage 4 Cancer breakup is a capital NO. Never do that because while you think it's for her good, she will be traumatized with the out of the blue breakup then have to deal with getting no closure because you went ahead and died. That would be way more traumatizing than just telling he.

At 16:40 when Darren is talking about cancer I don't agree because as someone who just got over stage 3 cancer last year and kept it from some of my family when I got diagnosed, it was a terrible idea because they found out anyways and I almost died so many times, I couldn't imagine dying without telling them, I couldn't imagine not being able to say goodbye. Always tell the people who care about you when something that serious is going on

For Darens stage four cancer example, I’d say that a lot of the time “lying to protect them” never goes as it’s truly intended. It is usually just to protect themselves and what’s easier for themselves. Breaking up instead of telling the truth opens up different doors for that person to question everything that happened between the two of you when they thought you both were so in love. Speaking the truth can also open up the conversation of “what do we do now”, both parties can decide weather staying together or separating is the best option. Your significant other finding out months to years later that the person they loved, who broke their heart, is DEAD will break them all over again. Will anger them towards you and themselves. they’ll have so many regrets, some not even caused by themselevs. It’s just best to be honest. ❤go with peace, live in truth, treat others how you’d like to be treated and the rest will follow. Sometimes hard conversations are needed to be had. Loosing someone after explaining the truth isn’t always a bad thing either. C’est la vie.❤

I feel bad for oli he looked so uncomfortable when he read the one abt 3k video of him and seb. He looked so grossed out and uncomfortable but kept a smile.
Whenever I see videos like this I feel like a prude, I've lived quite innocently in comparison. I agree with honesty is the best policy and communication is key. If a person broke up over cancer there's no guarantee they wouldn't find out down the line that they passed away and then they would live with crazy regrets that they couldn't be there for them in their last days. Sometimes going through the hurt together so that they don't die "alone" feels better morally since you'll grieve either way whether you go through the loss from being dumped or being "widowed".
this is honestly the best thing to come home to after a long day. im happy to see that they're doing okay❤️

I just recently discovered NSB through TH-cam shorts, learned everyone's names and faces, and am starting to listen to their music, so it's been nice to delve into this content!
But I wanted to say - After watching a few Q&As(?) and carfessions, I think... I never knew what my ideal type was, but I think that Oliver's demeanor, his principles, and how he talks and expresses his thoughts - they're all what I'd love to have in a partner, but haven't seen in anyone I've met before.
I'm 22 right now, and twenties are usually when people want to have fun and discover who they are. Because of that, I feel like no one around my age really has that type of passive but firm, matured outlook on things, so all I mean to say is: I have a bit more hope in finding someone close to my ideal type, because Oliver proved that people this age Can Be like that, so it's not an impossible ask.
So, yeah, thanks for that!

I'm late replying but I can relate to the breaking up with someone because you don't want them to deal with you having cancer. I've literally avoided every relationship outside of my family because I don't want anyone else having to deal with my having bone cancer and the effects of it.

I think i would agree to always be honest in all situations, the only time it would be acceptable to lie is when it is necessary. Lying for no reason or no good reason would make things harder in the future. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, its enlightening to hear from different perspectives
Right, I think obviously you can't lie all the time but it's just a reminder to value honesty.
Coming from my mom's experience whose brother died of cancer, my uncle withheld the fact that he had cancer so that his siblings didn't have to worry. When my mom found out, he was already in stage 4 of stomach cancer and he didn't know he had it until around late stage 2. My mom was traumatized as well as the rest of my family, I remember her being anxious up until the day it was announced that he died. She had to go to puerto rico so they could take care of the funeral and everything that came after his death. My point is, sometimes it isn't good to lie, my mom is still depressed about it and this happened last year, she thought that if he had told her sooner then she could have spent more time with him and the family. Anyways, I respect everyone's decision when it comes to these things, I still think that there is no right or wrong answer.
