- In this video I showcase the fitment of my 35/12.50/r20 Cooper STT Pro tires on the 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie Mega Cab Diesel. This does have the Off Road package. Let me know what you guys think? Should I have tried for 37s? Also, which wheels should I consider? Thanks for watching. I hope some folks find this video helpful. =]

I was so skeptic on this the other day when I purchased 35x12’s. They went ahead and test fit them first and they fit like a dream. No mods what’s so ever not even a leveling kit. I live in the hilly back roads in the upper Midwest so off road home daily. 2022 ram 2500. Not an issue. I’m a stocker guy so no aftermarket wheels. Just need some spacers now.
I also added nearly the same tires but went with the 295/65r20 (35.4”x11.7”) STT pros on stock wheels. Actually, I do have a slight rub on the sway bar on the passenger side of the truck, but very minor...I will say though, I have significant back and forth play in the suspension now, so bad that I’m either going to have to do a different alignment, change the sway bar out, and/or go ahead and level out the truck (2-2.5”) so I can get rid of the death wobble
That makes no sense. Adding tires won’t do that. So something is loose on your suspension. Adding heavier tires might of worked your suspension harder and then your trac bar loosened up maybe?
I have the same set up except not mega cab just crew cab and went with Nitto Ridge Grapplers. IT DOES RUB ON INSIDE on full lock. Also you can see in this video where it rubs the frame. With that being said. I can live with it just have to watch it when i go full lock. May invest in some offset wheels down the road.
Are you talking about at 4:40 where he shows that it rubbed on the swaybar? I don't see where it rubbed the frame.

Kind of upsetting just now finding this video. I went and bought $2000 wheels to put 35s on because everyone online said the stock wheel set up doesn't work lol. Oh well

Careful with the offset. Too much poke and you may rub.
35 x 12.5 falken wildpeak on stock 20 inch rims with mud flaps and side steps. The guys at the shop thought they might rub but no rub at all.

I think the stock wheels look fine after a while they just become wheels, it’s nice that there’s tucked under the fender well as long as they’re not creating any problems I would just keep the black wheels it looks good with white I have the same ones on my truck I’m in the process of installing a small lift kit on it and I’m probably going to run a similar size tire I prefer a no frills all black wheel and those stock wheels if they work they look great
You did no suspension mods? 4WP said they will rub and have to level and trim?
No suspension mods and I never rubbed even at full lock... it is the “off road” package so that light be a small factor idk

I also have the same truck same color and black package. But mine is a 2018. So I just ordered a set of 35x12.5x20 and was wondering if it would rub but after watching your video it seems like it won’t. Mine also has the Carli leveling kit so it should help for more clearance. I recommend you getting the Carli leveling kit this will upgrade your shocks to Fox shocks and new taller coils for the front. You will love the stance and look with this kit. And you’ll get a better ride also. Also wanted to know how much your mpg changed after slapping on the 35. And how is your transmission responding to the bigger tires. I don’t foresee you having any issues with that setup. 👌 should look great with no rubbing.

What happens when the steering wheel is held at full lock not released to show measurement?
Just got 21, and ordered 35x12.50x20 nitto mud grabblers. And Discount tire would not put them on do to stock rim with they said 9inch was too small for the tire so they pushed me to do 285x65x20 bfg ko2s.. not happy at all.. those tire should come in today.. I'm just afraid these tire will not hold up with what we do with these trucks for a living.. but they would not listen to us even though this last yr we bought a 2 sets for other trucks.. any help greatly appreciated!

No rubbing whatsoever with these. I did end up selling the truck soon after though.
I'm honestly shocked that ram guys havent done this alot. My 04 1500 had tons of info. I buy a 2020 laramie 2500 6.7 offroad and literally only this but others that were level lifted. Losing faith in my ram brethren. Thanks for the vid gonna go buy me another set of 35" duratracs the dealer talked me out of on my old truck 😤
37’s definitely would fit with a leveling kit, but I don’t think it will stock.
they’ll fit with a level but you’ll have to cut a little bit
put some 12 wide wheels on it and see the rub my 2021ram 3500 srw i got 20x12 wheels with 35x12.5R20's nittos terra grapplers g2's im afraid ima rub like a rob lol
I have A 2021 RAM 2500 Mega Cab Limited with LT285/60R20 stock tires and wanting to install 35x12.5x20 on it, but I'm a little concerned about the fit
I tried to get 35x12.50 ridge grapplers on my 20' 2500 today and discount wouldn't put them on bc the stock wheel is too narrow apparently. I love my stock wheels so guess I will have to go with 295/65/20 or 35x11.5
@@drewjames8594 I am surprised right now, I have Installed 35x12.5r20LT Hankook Dynapro AT2 perfect fit and looks Aggressive. Adding 35x12.5r20LT on Stock Wheels do fit🤩👍
How much did it raise the overall height of the truck ? I know the 35s are 1.5 in taller then stock tires.

That should fit fine , lots of 2500's running that size. 37s fit on the powerwagons .

Reading through the comments, and unless I missed the obvious, btu was there a lift kit/level kit installed, or was this bone stock?

Any issues with the speedometer?
What did you notice as far as mileage gains or losses also do you notice the change in height in your day to day driving
I noticed a 1-2mpg drop. =\ aside from the additional noise, the overall height was bump about 2 inches.

What did you do for the tpms sensor? What psi do you run to not set off the warning lights? Or did you flash the computer?
Did a flash to match the recommended psi for these tires.

No, just the 4x4 off road package which brings it up just a bit.
Check out cjc off road videos look into Carli leveling kit 2.5 you will love the difference in ride

And I’m sure the mpg will go up a bit too. As you know with closing on a house, moving, closing on another house etc., you don’t have a lot of time to freak out. Super excited, just controlled chaos. 😎
Good video but you letting go of the wheel means it’s not a full lock anymore. It spun back quite a bit. Also you should have shown both sides as the sides aren’t symmetrical.
I have a 2019 Ram 3500 6.4 hemi tradesman would they still fit on oem 20 s ?

Didn’t rub. Note the “Off Road” variant is a smidge higher too so that may be your difference.

For the size of the truck, 35's are pretty small... 37's would look much better
I've got a 2019 ram big horn all factory so 35x12.50x18 will be safe and fit with clearance on the factory wheels

Finally a good video that shows what I have been looking for. Truck is beautiful btw I got my 2020 ram 3500 dually it has the factory 17” Alcoa wheels I’m guessing it should be alright no rub or issues. Im going to be installing a set of 35s toyo open country m/T’s on my 17” Alcoa’s. I was going to do a level kit swap coils and shocks but if I do that I load it down with tools and weight it’s going to squat from rear and have a Cali lean I don’t like the way that looks and rides.

Definitely noticeable but I wouldn’t chalk them up to loud...
Waste of money if you ask me. Now you have some loud pizza cutters. Wheels still tucked in, stance still sucks, loud and annoying ride. In life you should either go all the way with it or not do it at all. This is just a half ass look. Great truck but shitty decision on tires.
Don’t worry man, I sold the truck. I would have loved to have a full up Carli lift with 38s in 10in wide wheels... but never got to any of that. Owned it for three weeks =] lol

Full lock reverse it’d snag a little but for 99% of normal driving… it doesn’t.
I test drove this truck. Noisy drivetrain, lots of slack in drivetrain, trans has odd shifting, definitely needs some refinements. Basically same as 2018 with updated dash , steering wheel quieter engine

Wouldn't be a significant difference with only an inch difference in tire size.
