I love this song, one of the best from Pulp. was lucky enough to be at the Sheffield concert for the first live playing with Richard Hawley-- truly legendary.
Just love this song, only found it when my wife put on a cd in our campervan cd player,it wasn't even pulp,it was Notting hill , soundtrack, brilliant song I have discovered.any pulp listener's out there check out , a poor imitation of love,I think that's what it's called.
It was really beautiful! I am so hoping this - and the whole concert - will be available in some format to view eventually. A truly brilliant experience.
Some are born to greatness, Some are born to die Never knowing the difference Never knowing why Some are born to change the world Some never even try But darling, you and I We were born to cry
It was only ever on the original movie soundtrack of Notting Hill as a bonus track. Strange as it was never in the movie.Quite why this masterpiece was not available elsewhere is a mystery.
@@jonc3295 Thank you. One year ago I quickly found out that this song was on the soundtrack of "Notting Hill". The whole soundtrack is very good. Strange; "Born To Cry" wasn't played in the film itself? Anyway, the song is great! In the 90s I bought everything from Pulp that was available in my hometown.
RIP Steve Mackey, Fly high legend 💔🕊
Just been diagnosed with cancer and I think it's a song you should listen to
Hope you get well soon ♡
hope you get well

Me too! It was so special
good lord, how did this track NOT make an album...the vocals juxtaposed with the guitars among the best i heard from pulp.
More to the point:- Why wasn't it a SINGLE???
It's exclusive in Japanese version OST for the film Notting Hill. Although this song was never played in the film.
That’s definitely Richard Hawley on guitar
love this song so much, amazing lyrics
Beautiful and sad.
again talent well underestimated!!!

Some are born to die
Never knowing the difference
Never knowing why
