Bara, you can rebuild a mech with other variant parts, indicated with yellow color in the number part. Also, you can upgrade your weapon tiers if you have sufficient amount.
There have been multiple folks saying this in the last few vids lol. I use the same mod and it makes me want to shake my screen every time he misses it, especially since he has enough parts to build the Hunchback of choice along with a Centurion :D

I just got a hero, clanner WHR IIC, a RAC variant, 4 RAC2’s and quirks for it each rac does like 1.2 dmg a shot…haha. And with the all upgrades and ballistic comps and stuff, is insane.
The easiest way to deal with artillery is to walk over the guns, it doesn’t appear to do damage to your mech and is way quicker than using your weapons, since they seem to absorb a lot of damage
@@arielfetters5662 Tank stomping in vanilla deals 1 damage to every location including your head. And in Scary Tanks which he is running it's upped to 1 damage for every 5 or 10 tons of tank weight. It's a VERY bad idea with Scary Tanks.
Baradul, when it comes to these maps (with lots of tunnels and paths) you HAVE to give nav points for your lance mates. Otherwise they will try to use cover (the tunnels in this case) to approach. So the way you were moving around was a confused mess for their pathing to you. I've seen and endured this same thing ALOT
RACs are indeed a thing. Found an Urbanlord with a RAC5 and a bunch of other weps and equipment that I have never seen available to me in the shops yet. Risc Hyper Laser, MML5, Las Ins, Spall Liner armor to name a few of the other items on it too. It was loaded from head to toe with stuff. 24 mil price but couldn't afford it at the time. Wish I did have the money to grab it then.
Bara, another tip is in YAML you can repair your whole lance between missions by hitting "A". Just be careful that you put your salvage mechs into cold storage first, as it will initiate repairs for all mechs in the active mech bay.
I would love to see a forest map with an active wildfire going on, or where you can start one with your weapons fire. I know there is a little fire here from a mod, but imagine a firestorm hundreds of feat tall with firewhirls, heat refraction waves, and embers flying around. Imagine fighting the heat and having your ammo cook off! It would be an interesting twist on a mission and a real workout for a GPU.
For the first: wildlife would long be gone when you stomp with a 100 ton war machine in a forest:) For the second: we tested things like that, but it is not really feasible due to performance reasons. There are still some old pics on the vonBiomes Discord somewhere with flames and smoke everywhere.. it works for screenshots, but not in-game.

The bipping background noise you hear is on those missions each loot crate has a search radius. So long as you are hearing the bipping you know you are in the area for the crate. Makes it a bit easier to find them normally if they are in a bunch of buildings and the beacon is masked.
Just the result of my own experience, but I am basically using the same mod list as Baradul and ultimately, going for salvage and assembling mechs to sell them in hubs makes more money than maximizing the money reward. Also you can make your own high tier weapons by salvaging tons of crappy ones and upgrading them yourselves which is a more reliable way to get high tier weapons especially the common ones like medium lasers and such.
Bara I don't know about others but I usually go for max salvage, sometimes mixed money/salvage or air strike on demo missions and I'm playing on the Xbox Series S. Plus you should play the way you want for the most part.
and 3rd comment... i looks like a know problem some other have the problem too with the XL Engines in 0.23 YAML base mod. better you dont find some xl engines early
With the mods you are using loot is the way to go free mechs free weapons that you can build up. Way more efficient then running around the starmap looking for stuff you want.
On Salvage vs Cash: If you're playing the fantastic Merctech mod(not yet updated to DLC3, but dirt easy to backdate to .315 in Steam), you need that salvage to get ammo. Running two missile heavy griffins and I *always* need LRM ammo.
Hey Bara, if you have the time, check out Leopard Colors mod (add your mech color scheme to your leopard), Mech Delivery mod (as it says, it's nicely balanced though), Mod Options (it's basically a must have) and Repair Bay (I think you had this in earlier playthroughs). Also Stacked Crates (makes all those pesky crates easier to find, also color-coded) and Updated High Employment (works for YAML and DLC3). Almost forgot Pirate Legends, it adds custom hero mech, they're pretty sweet. I would reeeeally like to recommend Yet Another Clan Invasion too, but can't at the moment, it clutters the equipment inventory too much (adds items from Silby's mod, basically duplicates whatever YAML adds with slightly different attributes). The added mech are nice though, but some of them are difficult or almost impossible to recolor. Edit: forgot about Star Map Mouse Over, that's something you used to have on earlier games too. Still works just fine. It's always in my load order.
Yeah, just got to the point where you're talking about vonBiomes and the game being a bit of a resource hog. Might as well check Xenopax Optimize and Xenopax Art Optimizer for that, lol Makes my games a lot more playable.
@@Acaios1 Yeah, it's pretty good, it's tied to your MRB rating and you can only order mechs if you're in a trading hub. So no assaults on MRB rating 1 and it's not like ordering pizza, lol
RACs are in it, but you will have WAY more weapon choices if you put the Claninvasion mod in. That mod also adds tons of IS weapons and mechs, as well as clan. Also lots of new equipment. Think Roguetech.
Hey Bara, consider turning on your headlamps on those darker missions (L) if you dont wanna use optics. Also the predictive targeting computers are supper helpful for longer range engagements when using ACs

You seem to be able to destroy most of the von biome additions to the environment. I had a cantina supply cache covered by a rock spire on a mission and was highly annoyed. I unloaded on the spire with my ACs in frustration only for the spire to explode making the cache obtainable.
i dont know but it seems to be a problem with the newest 0.23 version of yet another mechlab or a load order... i quit the steam version and installed the 0.21 version and it works...
You might want to install Coyote's Mission Mod. His latest patch added combat-dropships. for some reason TTrulez AI sucks big time during defense missions. almost all mechs just stand around and do nothing. personally not using TTR-ai until that gets fixed.

You are having issues with the AI Give them tasks...send them after stuff, keep one with you. Give them areas to defend. Trust them more. They don't do well when not just derping about. And also give them upgrades. ..... Shoot the tress...they fall.

Yeppers, when I know there's arty I run the hero Dragon Sidewinder, fast with a lot of armor.
Same with tanks and turrets. You can just run them over for an auto-kill.

To keep in mind, targeted kill missions and assassination missions the target has a chance to drop salvage crates to pick up.

Yes, U can shoot down the big trees. Also in the glacier biome some glaciers are destructible.
There is a vonBiomes field manual PDF with all infos (and nice art;) - but I think Baradul didn't read it;)

44:40 seems to be a waeapons carrier hence why it was so lightly armored.
It would be great if dropships could take damage or even panic and leave before they drop off mechs.
If you hit the the drop bay with a couple of high-explosive rounds.....say, like a sniper artillery, it'll rain dead mechs, lmao

Honestly, I still run optimized Dragons in the late game with these mods. They can put out some damage.
I wish some1 made mod to be able to use tanks chopers etc imagine driving srm 40 cariers :D
RACs do exist, but they’re gated behind a very late intro date (3070 or something). Many weapons and mech variants are gated this way.
